whenever I’m reminded of this particular work I feel intensely uncomfortable but I always come back to analyze or just overall upset myself with the looming thought of “what could this mean” the author isn’t one to make a story to just be uncomfortable but to convey an underlying message about society, the human condition or politics in general but it’s hard to find the meaning in this particular case. Its gory, upsetting, violent, it peers beyond the fictional realm of “manga horror” into something that feels real, these events can happen and this edition of “evil” can be reborn in many different vessels. That’s what makes this manga such an interesting read because you can apply a hypothetical message each read and see how it compares or contrasts with the source material
