The Lord of Sun
Byan is from Seo's Village but with different hair and healing abilities than the others villagers, she got bullied and ignored by the others...they got her mother killed and sold her as a concubine to the Emperor who was known as a tyrant and enjoyed killing However Byan discovers that she had healing abilities by feeding her blood to others and her journey begins from there trying to survive In the Lion's den. -- I really liked this story for most of it but a lot seems to get brushed under the rug. They kept teasing on completing her revenge story against her village but it goes nowhere. Her half brother who was the only one to like suddenly shows up and testifies she's evil and then they just go nowhere with that. Bayan and the emperor have a baby but then seem to not care about and is hardly mentioned. It's odd but ok.
Taming the Tiger
Ahn Geumhu, the eldest son of the Ahn household, needed the blood of livestock for his younger brother's medicine, and so set out to find a pariah familiar with butchery. In the process, he ended up meeting a nameless pariah with a unique appearance. He gave that man, who was already famous on the streets, the name 'Beom', and brought him into his house to utilize his ambiguous charisma. However, at some point, even he was taken in by Beom's charm... The story of a noble who was captured by a tiger while trying to tame him. --- Another beautiful story from this author. It's wholesome and sweet and bittersweet. The only thing I wish was different would be that I would have liked a little more drama. The main characters get together very quickly and are irrevocably in love with each other almost immediately and never ever.
Toxin
"Imae," born to a human father and an Imae mother, endures various persecutions and grows up without ever obtaining a name. One day, the notorious Black Martial Emperor, the merciless king of the Baedal Kingdom, destroys the Imae village. After his beloved mother dies at the hands of the cruel emperor, he is determined to seek revenge, posing as a painter to paint his portrait…
Tale of the Yellow Dragon
With the screech of rubber and a crunch of metal, Dojin departs the mortal world, leaving behind his beloved sister and niece. He awakens in the kingdom of Yooguk, where the people call him “emperor” and serve a god named Yellow Dragon. Dojin soon discovers that Yellow Dragon called him to Yooguk for a purpose: to share his “life force” and protect the kingdom. As Dojin slips deeper into Yellow Dragon’s cold embrace, how far will he go in order to get back home? ---- Absolutely beautiful. There are some parts I'm still confused by but the beauty of the story over shadows it.
King's Maker Triple Crown: Mature Version
Wolfgang achieves the triple crown of throne, love and revenge. Shin Soo-hyuk supplements Wolfgang in the position of the treasurer, and Wolfgang pours an offensive affection on him, but draws a line thinking that he regards himself as a spoil, and the relationship between the two is shaken. To make matters worse, a group who opposes the precarious Hwangwon is aiming for Wolfgang..... Can Wolfgang and Shin Soo-hyuk correct the tumultuous Hwangwon and continue the relationship between the two? --- This is the mature version of King's Maker. It picks up after Wolfgang kills the king and takes the crown. I prefer this version but it is quite a bit behind the other. I enjoy this story but I wish mister minister of finance would lighten up a bit.
King's Maker
Wolfgang Goldenleonard, the 4th Prince of the kingdom, returns to the palace after years of living in hiding. He rejects everything about his new royal life, but is intrigued by the mysterious and dutiful Shin Soohyuk, a catamite of the King. As Wolfgang slowly opens up and learns the ways of the palace, Soohyuk begins to see something special about the wild, unkempt, and stubborn young prince. He might just be the one Soohyuk has been waiting for... the one who could light the flame of rebellion. --- This is the original story that is shonen ai. The mature version is Triple Crown but this version is the only one with the first volume and this one is further along than Triple Crown but I would rather read the mature version if possible.
A Trace of the Wonder
Strange dungeons have started appearing all over the world and wreaking havoc. Yiseon, a guy with the power to rebuild cities, witnesses his friends being turned into the undead. Hyeon, a powerful hunter, comes to him with an interesting proposition. Yiseon has no choice but to accept his offer. ----This story is ok. The romance plot seemed rushed the main leads seem to just be using each other for their own means and then they are all the sudden in love at the end. Also the seme falls very heavily in the sexy, black haired, black wearing, shadow welder that is sooo common in romance.
Dangerous Convenience Store
Yeo Eui Joon, who works at a convenience store frequented by gangsters, wants to quit as soon as possible because of the dangerous work environment. However, he's stopped by the pay that's 1.2x more than other stores! So, Eui Joon, who needs every penny he can get, overlooks the danger and continues working there. Then one day, Bum Geon Woo, who looks more like a gangster than any other gangsters show up. And as soon as he appears, the other gangsters simmer down...Will Eui Joon be able to safely continue working at this convenience store? -- I really enjoyed this story. It was interesting. I wish I got to learn more about Mister's past but I guess that's kind of the point.
A Painter Behind the Curtain
Ian is a gifted painter who was sold to the head of the Bardi family when he was very young. Jeremy Bardi is a renowned painter known for his genius but he has a secret, it is actually Ian who has been locked up in a room, beaten and raped, forced to paint for the Bardi's so they can pass his work off as Jeremy's. One day an up and coming merchant, Raymond, pays to have his portrait painted by the famous Jeremy only to meet their beaten down "servant' Ian. Recognizing the ruse, Raymond instigates a plot to free Ian and take care of him. Ian fastly falls for his savior but little does he know Raymond is not the kind gentleman Ian thinks he is but a clever business man out for his own revenge and he tends to use Ian for his own gains. -- I enjoyed this story even though it was kind of slow at the beginning. I almost wish that Raymond married the princess and didn't have such a happy ending. It might have made the story more impactful but it's still good nonetheless.
