literally bawling my eyes out right this second saturday night 3:58 AM. perfect time for an essay. so this manga is so scary and grotesque and sad and terrifying and gut wrenching that i dont even want to be reminded of it but at the same time so beautiful that i want to sit down and think about it. the concept of family is portrayed a little differently here which id say i dont see very often. the trope i usually see is “ohhh family isnt who gave birth to you but who raised you and looked out for you and stufff” but here its kindddd of stating the opposite?? actually when i think about it its not really the opposite. just another side of it. i think this shows that even though its true that you think youre closer to the people who raised you, the ones who gave birth to you will always have a more special place. you dont really have that in this story but id maybe even say that this is more interesting than that other example. she doesnt even have a proper family to begin with. her real family threw her away (literally.) and when they met later they were scared of her and her wanted to ran away. even after all of that, she still chose to let her family live the better life, especially her sister. although she grew up in an environment where the concept of family wasnt even introduced to her and it was every man for themselves, she still has this deep affection for them. she probably doesnt even know she was thrown away by her dad, so if she knew. would she have reacted differently? actually maybe this proves the other theory right. after all of that, she still went back “home”. family is seen as a sense of comfort or idk like a safety net. maybe she finds that comfort in the darkness, which acts like a family to her??? i do have a lot of questions like if she was a mindless zombie how does she just understand that she was her sister and why doesnt her dad do anything?? but again as much as i want to blame the dad for everything i dont think what he did was that unreasonable. if i was in the same situation, what would i have done? if i chose to raise her myself, maybe she would be ridiculed for her appearance which obviously isnt an easy weight to carry for a fucking child. so the solution for that would be to keep her at home. but thatd also be bad for her. i cant find a solution

loved it, wouldve cried if we didnt have guests coming over i cant really explain it but this just feels like 2021 but in the best way possible?? the art style feels so damn familiar and the setting adds to the nostalgia i seriously cant no words. i really did and still do want to write a suppppper super long comment about it because it definitely deserves it %100 but i just cant describe the things this makes me feel. i get butterflies just thinking about it??? like it was paced beautifully, and although i do find super happy endings where everything is sunshine and rainbows super cliche most of the time, this doesnt seem that way at all like im surprised i didnt have to convince myself to think this was perfect. at first i really did think it was going to end really fast since bibi seemed to fall for amy a little too early. couldnt be more wrong. it still managed to somehow get my approval even though i cant stand anything that isnt slow burn (YOU ARE NOW MY FAVORITE EMPLOYEE ). maybe if i had a gun to my head and someone told me to voice at least one complaint about this itd be how weak amy seems to be?? like honestly there were a few instances where i did think “girl..come on now..” but when i look back on it maybe thats connected to my own psychological problems and yeah alright its okay to be weak. no complaints ig. oops accidentally wrote a long comment again ayo lowkey had a character development towards the end of the comment what the fuck
