A very accurate representation of what it’s like to be gay in a homogenous society. Life isn’t like fiction where things all have a way of working out the way the audience imagines. Things do work out, but in the path it just happens to go in. The other lead who married and had a family is a great representation of that. He’s gay, and still is, but for the sake of his mother, he denied himself. “I live for my mother’s smile.” Anyway, there is definitely a reason this gets so much hype and love. I think a lot of queer people can relate to some of the characters and that’s nice. Overall, 7.5/10

bro the one shot chapters in between the story were so confusing cause like why were they in the middle not the end???? hard to keep up w istg. anyway it wasn’t that good and i think their dynamic is a bit strange. bro likes the cross dressed ver of the guy way too much and separates them as being 2 diff people even though he knows they’re not. frustrating asf.

interesting i feel like i unlocked a bit of ‘ARASHI’ lore. at first i thought these hot characters were meant to resemble the geezers (satoshi & sakurai) of current-day Arashi, but they were actually quite cute in their debut (1999). Never thought i’d read a jpop dj but here i am ig. Actually wasn’t even bad, i wish satoshi’s character could be expanded on more cause idk where the cross-dressing element came in play.
