this is my 2nd or third reread of this. They are so pure and sweet, i really love them. it’s so sad how they drifted due to societal pressures for acting a certain way when all along, if they confided in eachother they’d know the feeling was mutual. Very wholesome. i like how they got together during uni i think that opened up a lot of pathways.
Meaning of his Gaze
I’m not sure why I love this story so much. Realistically, It’d be way better if it was like 20 chapters instead of 5, but I love the dynamic between the characters so much. The quiet intimacy they share, the affection that permeates skin, and still mornings after sex, it’s just so good. This could also be because I see myself in the black-haired person a lot, leaving love unrequited, a silent yearning not expecting anything of it nor trying to influence it. I’m glad it worked out for them, though realistically It doesn't usually end up doing that usually. The pain of a 7yr unrequited love finally came to a meaningful end, and I think there was a beauty in the fact that in the black haired guy’s mind, there was always only just one. 10/10

criminally short sigh…. could’ve been the start of a fire series

It lowkey took me ages to finish this. I think although Cain’s whole arc is resolved by the end, he literally should have been the one for Jooin. The Jooin-Yahwi arc is so overdone and was so flipping long. Like at the end of the day, it was never that serious yet it canonically took YEARS to resetablish. The whole entire thing was so stretched out and in my opinion, boring. Like I feel like i’m grasping at straws trying to find the will to continue this. I think I initially began my read in like 2020 when this first started updating, and the entire appeal of that is that I don’t have to sit through hours of this boring ass manhwa. Like it can be interesting if you’re limited to one chapter every week, but reading it again after completion (didn’t finish it the first time) is genuinely so hard. Litwrally had to split it into two parts: 1-90 during two days, and then MONTHS later 90-107. It is too uninteresting to make me feel the desire to read. In fact, the only reason I felt compelled to finish was because I was looking at old reading tabs and noticed I had less than 20 chapters of this left. Like I don’t think Jooin is likeable, I don’t think Yahwi is either. Cain is the only saving grace of the entire series, but he’s got second male lead syndrome, nobody thought he was going to end up w/ Jooin. I literally hate everyone in this they all pmo in their own way and I would not reread this. 5/10 just based off of nostalgia factor and the way they described moving on/the ending feelings.
