It’s been three years since Himawari lost his parents. One day, feeling particularly annoyed about having to live with his relatives, Himawari finds himself visiting a shrine. He soon learns that it is an unusual shrine with unusual people such as the shady guy, Kaminaga, and the priestess, Maru (who actually is a goddess). Soon, he becomes an acquaintance of this weird crowd and winds up helping them to grant their worshippers’ wishes. While all the time he was working to grant others’ wishes, his wish remained ungranted. However... - Initially I didn’t read this because it wasn’t yaoi, but I’m really glad I did because this is a really interesting story

For generations, the Kagurazaka family have possessed the power to speak with the messengers of Inari, a power that has been sustained through the centuries by intermarriage with women of the Ujou family. Having waited long for his bride, Rio, the current heir to this power, is shocked to find himself abandoned by his bride-to-be when she elopes with another man. The Onigami shrine, where demons are courteously worshipped, is found in a small village in the countryside of Japan. As always, a young demon gazes warmly at Higure, the son and heir to the shrine. "Ahhh!! He's so hot... I can't handle it... he's priceless..." This young demon named Kouen has fallen for Higure, who once saved him and was so kind to him when he lost his way and wandered into the human world. On the day that Higure turned 18, thunder and lightning struck and Kouen descended in front of Higure. While he intended to act cool and tell Higure how he intended to take him as his wife, his plans end up turned upside down.
