Shen Sheng
i put this off on 201203 (it's been a year since then omg?) bc of certain reasons but now i'm honestly regretting that decision bc this was just so so good. this was Beautiful. i didn't expect that plot twist at all like omg the feels???? T^T !!!! there may have been some things that i think could've been improved in this, most especially the communication. communication is just so important and even if the main couple have a such a great bond with each other that makes them have a strong relationship, i still wish both pairs had a proper talk just so we can learn more from them and they, too can understand each other better and avoid miscommunication ++ have a stronger relationship with each other. also, i'm not really a fan of the trope for the second pair but there wasn't any confirmation about what happened in the end so i guess i still rather enjoyed it. ^-^ there are still many questions left unanswered for both pairs which i really want to have a closure... hmm, perhaps this deserves a sequel, don't you think? lol >< nonetheless, i really liked this that i actually finished it in just one sitting hehe >< the coloring was great, i noticed the improvement in the art style even if it was subtle, i think? it was already beautiful from the start but it became more gorgeous as the story progressed. the story may have ended for us, but i am sure that in their world, their story is just starting :') all in all, shen sheng has such a pure soul... <3 re-read: 230616 i saw this on my fyp so i decided to read it again hehe :’) it was actually like my first time reading it bc it’s been so long since i’ve last read this so i couldn’t remember everything ofc but it was like a fresh read for me and i finished it again in just one sitting and i really loved every moment of it :)
Ameagari no Bokura ni Tsuite
wow.... i want more, oh my.... this was just an amazing read. i'm gonna try to keep this as short as possible >< ok, first of all, i really felt how realistic this was in every aspects. human emotions we feel— may it be good or bad, positive or negative. platonic and romantic relationships, and even family problems. the author really made sure to delve into different real life topics and experiences most people go through and feel. one of my fav scenes has to be the "don't hold it in" and the dam just finally breaking, it was just a good portrayal of those repressed feelings and i could definitely relate to that. feelings can be hard, yeah, but in order to understand your feelings, you shouldn't hold it in and instead let it out, and really, genuinely feel it... anyways, i'm so glad they found each other again and was able to both grow as individuals, and together. you're not responsible of saving others, but you are responsible of finding and saving your own happiness. remember that. re-read: 230816, still a realistic and very wholesome read :')
Wind Blowing Tonight
literally just cried my eyes out over this oh my god this was just so painfully beautiful... i don’t wanna spoil anything so i’m just gonna talk about what i’ve felt from this. the plot and the art style are both so good. the story isn’t something that is easily predictable and it’ll really make you keep wanting to read more. it was both heartbreaking and heart-mending at the same time. they just.. they just deserve everything... happiness, love, and each other. this was So good and i would really love to read more of this. i hope this could have a sequel or anything if that could be possible. nonetheless, this was such a healing read. definitely worth it. pro tip: listen to “sa susunod na habang buhay” by ben&ben while reading this for the full experience. :)
One Week Family
as cliché as it was, i still think this was a great read. it was a bit fast paced considering it has only six chapters but i still liked it. the plot was also great, it talked about topics like insecurities, running away, growing up, acceptance, and maturing. and i think most people go through those kinds of difficulties in life too and it was well discussed in the story. i also love how they bonded with the kid + the male leads are both so pretty ! (i just have to mention that haha) this was just a healing read. i genuinely enjoyed it :) 241110: re-read cause i saw this again on my tl :')
Bokutachi no akai ito
just bokuaka being domestic together plus with their own matching rings <333333 i adore this!!!!
Snow Fairy
“once the snow melts away, this house that i’d lived in alone all this time will become a home for two.” <3 this was such a beautiful story and a wonderful read. there’s just something about this that really makes the readers so enraptured by it. it has such a beautiful art, amazing plot, excellent pacing, well-written characters, and how everything flows is just— wow. this was absolutely heartwarming and just wholesome. i have found a new favorite story and i’ll definitely come back to this again and again. <3
Sore wa Are da, Ai Kamo ne
this was just all nice and fluffy! communication and consent are v v apparent and both were straightforward with their feelings. i just loved how both of them always reassure each other of why they love the other, as well as why they are deserving of that love. this was a pretty nice read!
Untouchable
was a good read. the art style is really beautiful and the plot is quite nice. would have just loved if there were more intimacy between mingchen and annan >< nonetheless, you can still see that there's something between them without the author explicitly saying it :) (also was shocked with the future version of them omg) but yeah! this was a nice short read :)
Portrait (natsume Kazuki)
[screams incoherently] AAAAAAA OH MY GOD?????? this was so good. wow. i swear it’s always the one shots that leaves me in awe wow... i wish there was more because this was honestly just amazing.... oh my god. “portrait is kinda like a confession” how is this author so good at making us /hurt/ in the most beautiful way possible? like wow.
