Stigmata - Aikon
ahh this still has such an interesting plot! it's something new and unique for me which really hooked me up instantly. it's nice to see their backstory and learn more about them this time. the story went on very smoothly and i did think that everything was done really well— the plot, the storytelling, the pacing, and the developments. everything was just right! i was also surprised when he openly discussed his sexual orientation after falling in love with a man for the first time bc usually it goes through the "i'm straight but i am in love with
" route so this was really nice! not to mention the consent from both parties, as well as the preparation before the yk. it's like a breath of fresh air like aaaa i really enjoyed this <3 !!
Stigmata - Seikon Sousa
i accidentally read the sequel first but eh, it's alright >< ok, this... this one was a lot more gruesome and serious than the sequel since it revolves around more cases of deaths. it was shocking but also, intriguing. you get it? haha but yeah, i don't know what to say more but this shows how they actually work to solve the cases. moreover, it's actually nice to see how the author didn't make this into a bl but they portrayed that they in fact have some intimacy in between them which was later seen in the sequel!
Kakine to Keidai
oddly enough, i actually liked this. it both has the psychological aspects and level of h*ness hahahaha weird, am i right? but yeah, i also felt some pangs or tugs in my heart in certain parts of the story and also really liked the level of craziness of the characters ? if that's what you call it but i just think they just have their own traumas in life. regardless, i managed to read through all of it and is now rating it 5* haha oml ig it’s nice to read something a little crazy once in a while yk Xd also!!! loved the art style sm!
Checkmate(TAN)
wow, this was so good... i actually hesitated to read this a lot but i'm so glad i gave this a try. it was so much better than i expected and i didn't think i'd get hooked instantly! overall, it was crazy! the plot was really well developed, everything just flowed so well which made the story so much more interesting. the art style is also beautiful and it really gave more depth to the story. even their chibis were so cute! the story was just insane— i was honest to god, seated for it! i honestly can't remember the last time i was so hooked over a manhwa. i loved this story from the beginning till the end. can't wait for the side stories to come!
