Feel like it was not bad but fl spent entire time deceiving ml, and ml is just like cool beans and they get together. She was even set on betraying him in the end yet she says she loves him. Would have preferred her to make a gesture for ML without needing prompting. They were like were way too happy in the end and just skipped over all the trauma. Also story deals with a lot of SA and injustices for women and witches, even though there is a female empress even but none of that is addressed, it's just a fact of the world..
