I wish the sex scene was longer, and Amamiya wasn't such a dick.

5 stars just for Mari and her reaction to her coworker treating Kyou and Kou's relationship like a form of entertainment. Mari is the best. Speaking as a gay man, I always worry about fujoshi looking at us like they look at yaoi, which is a really uncomfortable thought! I just wanna like dick in peace, man.

Okay, so I've been waiting for this one to complete for a long-ass time. I loved the premise from the get-go, and I am so happy with the result. I already liked this mangaka's art - always have - and her storylines have never been anything to sneeze at, but this... This is fucking perfect. I've been reading yaoi and, well, romance in general my entire life. At this point, I've mostly moved past the point of screaming and flapping my wrists whenever something super cute happens. Or, so I thought! With this manga, I was squealing and having to literally stop reading for a bit because my heart couldn't take it. It's like... suddenly I had all this excess energy from the sheer sweetness of this story, and I needed to release it. But I digress. This story was surprisingly free of yaoi tropes, which was really fucking nice! Like, Eiju's panicking over his bisexual awakening lasted barely a page, instead of him freaking out because "Oh no I like dudes too what?!" Also, there wasn't pointless jealousy. When Shuri showed up, I was worried about there suddenly being a love triangle for some pointless drama, but there wasn't! Shuri was actually on their side! Oh, and there wasn't someone being needlessly sexually aggressive! A lot of the time, one of the people in a yaoi couple basically assaults their significant other at some point, and this is treated like it's okay and normal. Now, sure, some people are into that depiction (I mean, I am very much into what I've taken to calling "gentle rape", though mostly because I have been through some shit and this is how I approach those issues), but it gets a bit disconcerting when it becomes the common depiction. I mean, porn (yes, yaoi is porn; no, this is not a bad thing) affects the way people see each other, just like any other art form; if the most common depiction treats consent as unnecessary, then people will start to think it is. But Yato and Eiju's relationship is actually healthy, and that is a breath of fresh air. Moving on, the fact that Eiju falls in love with Yato in spite of the fact that he is a god of misfortune is beautiful, but it is made even more so by the fact that he doesn't know that Yato's powers would disappear; he knew they'd be made weaker, but he didn't know by how much. He was willing to sacrifice his own fortune just to be with Yato. And then there's how they both notice the little things about each other, and how they communicate, and just how pure and sweet the confession scene is... This manga is just perfect. Plus, at the end they hinted at the possibility of switching (I agree with Eiju; I want to see Yato bottom. He's just so cute!), which was great! All in all, I really fucking love this manga and I'm going to set myself on fire in order to vent some of this excitement and joy I have coursing through my veins.

I WANT MORE. THIS IS SO GOOD.

While I was reading this, I was in a discord call with 2 of my friends. On the last page, I made this weird noise and one of my friends was just like "Melo (nickname), you okay?" "Uhhh, yeah, why?" "You made a weird noise. I thought you were dying." I feel like that sums up my feelings on this manga.

Oh man, Udou the Elder is so my type! He acts tough but he's actually really vulnerable <3!

It seems like just smut until you get deeper into Minori's past. It's surprisingly good! Also, the art is delicious!

This is so pure.

I like this realistic bisexual awakening, and how adorable Saya is. That last page, when Ogata shows such a happy expression kills me every time. This is just so cute and pure.
