Amorou's manga / #Tragedy(12)

A compelling short story is hard to do, but this author managed to leave an impact on me with this tragic story. It's cute and short, but sad.

This was definitely really good. However, I felt like it was slightly rushed near the end, and many questions were unnecessarily left unanswered (like what happened on the actual night of the murder). I felt that the abruptness of their relationship was also a weakness. Like, they straight up had sex on the first day they met. Anyways, this was still a moving and cute read, and if only a few things had been tweaked, it would've been a masterpiece.

I was not ready for the pain.

5 star material for most of the story but the ending just didn't work for me.

It was so short but so heartbreaking, with a love so pure and lovely! Beautiful art depicting a bittersweet childhood romance.

I typically like twisted and yandere stories but the execution of this was terrible. The pacing was much too fast, there were extreme inconsistencies in the characters, and the romanticizing of Stockholm Syndrome was just not it. Not a fan, but it had potential.

I'm conflicted with the sexualization of their relationship, but if it was any other couple this would be incredibly sweet and adorable. Overall it's a cute bittersweet story if you detach from the original characters in the manga, but otherwise I'd consider it insensitive to the original characters.

Dark, twisted, and tragic. But too short, wish it was longer.
