One of the most realistic and bittersweet manga I’ve ever read. Even after everything they’ve gone through, especially the poor Uke, I can’t believe he only lived until 52. With all the shit that life has handed him, I was hoping they’d make it to 90s together, hand in hand, but the overall vibe of this manga is just one big tragic happiness. At least they ended up being family, with loving parents and supportive friends. But the tragedy seems so realistic I almost wish it was sugarcoated a bit more just for satisfaction

Dark and heavy topics very much Harada style, but happy ending nonetheless. Uke is quite strong, he’s suffered the worst fate having been raped since young and eventually prostituted himself, but he got the happy ending he deserves. Even a nice neighbor friend who cares about him
