In this case, the supernatural plot device actually interferes with the more interesting story of how people fall in love over shared inspirations, ambitions, sympathy for circumstances and life goals, and it really gets in the way when the protagonist is in denial about being gay, since it makes overly light work of the business of overcoming that degree of resistance—turns that struggle into a hashjob, actually. But it seems, from the direction of the last scenes in this chapter, like the mangaka has twigged onto that problem, and wants a better resolution. This possibility and hope hooks me. it will be interesting to see where it leads.

So, if it isn't obvious from the art style alone, definitely not a horror story. In fact, I wonder why demons and fallen angels are brought up in it as a thing at all.

Like most of Inariya's work, this story is geared to meet the fetish for smartly tailored military uniforms on a burly, blond, wild-dog giant paired with a cold, cruel and dainty smaller man, along with BDSM in which the uke is Dominant. Like most of her stories, even when the relationship heats up with sex, there is always a violent and hostile undercurrent to the relationship. It's interesting, but cold.

Basically a fuck-or-die scenario with 3 different potential partners thrown into the mix: a stoic Chinese Qi Gong Master, an insane brother, and a wacky vampire hunter. Okay, dragons and dragoons are two entirely different things, and this story is filled with strange translations and misspellings that make things very confusing indeed. Since this is one of those zany comedy style of supernatural possession stories, that makes it harder to track what is going on and why. Lots of sex, but the drawing is so jittery over those scenes, you can't see a darned thing, certainly not penes, testes or sphincters. So all the smut with none of the huzzah. But it is sort of different for old-school yaoi.
