Nirameba Koi
Ryuunosuke doesn't just have a Sanpakku stare, it's a downright murder glare and it's a source of utter fascination for Shima, who thinks it makes him look like more of a cat than a yakuza or punk. That sanpakku look causes a lot of problems for Ryuunosuke, who won't back down against belligerent strangers. The question is whether the stare is all there is to that trouble. Yukue Moegi's artwork bears a strong resemblance to Suzuki Tsuta's.
Shimasho.
There sure is a whole lot of sex going on here for someone who wants to teach somebody else about tea ceremonies ...
Kedamono Hatsujouki!!
I love threesomes in yaoi. Any old excuse for sex involving three hot guys will do, and the less plot to interfere with the sex, the better. The double-penetration of the virgin thing was done by Hoshino Lily first in Youkubari wa Dame na no, and I admit I cringed at the thought at first, but the whole premise was so outrageous to start with, I couldn't take it seriously. Now, it's just about the dream of the uke being sandwiched between two perfect bodies, each with differently loveable personalities, and being loved and enjoyed to the utmost — a sticky-sweet dessert for the id.
Yume Musubi, Koi Musubi
You have to hand it to Ao, once he decided he was in love with his old friend and neighbourhood Buddhist priest, Ryoumei, nothing but nothing will get in his way. It's Ryoumei who needs to be coaxed into releasing the iron-clad armoring over his heart, and he won't hear of it as long as Ao is not a legal adult. Plus, the biggest obstacle of all is that he isn't gay. Also, there are unresolved family issues. This story takes its time developing the lives and circumstances of these characters and letting them ease into love. The sequel, Himegoto Asobi, is even more interesting to me (because both characters are adults with difficult pasts to overcome.)
Magic Mail Chocolate
A friend does his best to make the boy he loves feel better when he never receives any chocolates on Valentine's Day and realizes he probably never will.
Bukiyou Dakedo Daisukisa
Two schoolboys suddenly have the hots for each other, go out, mess around, feel insecure and jealous. That's about it.
Renai Prism
A story about a boy who can see the colours of other people's auras, but doesn't necessarily know what those colours mean. All in Maruya Kae's beautiful illustrations.
Smile Kudasai
A series of short stories which positively erupt with Mio Junta's sparkly yaoi magic. (1) A boy is scared of an over-enthusiastic suitor who might be a stalker, until his suitor backs off. (2) A college dorm roommate is afraid of invading his lover's space ... These stories explore the edge between eager confessions and coming on too strongly. The illustrations, as typical of Junta Mio, are gorgeous.
Sono Kuchibiru wo Hirake
Two schoolboys who feel uneasy whenever they are out of each other's sights for prolonged periods of time, and what that entails.
