I Thot You Was a Toad's manga / #megane(28)

Two seme-types battle for the top, which starts to get irritating, as these things do, until an unexpected silly plot twist causes one of them to wake up. Then the story returns to being funny and enjoyable. It helps that the men are both drawn so well and there's lots of sex.

Tamura has the gift of prescient dreams, but one of these dreams is more like a curse because it is an explicit sex dream and his future lover is a man. What happens when this fated lover, Seiwa, shows up at Tamura's school? Hilarious and, in spite of the comedy, mature and goodnatured. I love Tamura's family and friends.

Shirou finds his junior at school, Kuroda, to be a pest and a distraction from his studies, until Kuro reminds him of a dog that he loved.

One night in his adolescence, Kayano, suffocated by his controlling mother, falls for Takao, a boy he finds beaten and left in a park. He discovers that Takao is greedy and grasping, and pretends to be a selfish jerk who plays cruel tricks on others. As Kayano meets each of Takao's ridiculous challenges, and carefully eliminates all the obstacles, he discovers a side to Takao that nobody suspected. Even though the characters in this story are so flawed and unsympathetic, and Takao, in particular, is such a manipulative jerk, it's a great story. The ending is so satisfying. Wonderful.

One thinly veiled excuse for loads of unrealistic, but great, sex after another. Terrific manga!

"I am not an otaku." Hasegawa doesn't like the stigma attached to being an otaku, so he's nonplussed when he keeps finding himself in situations where he rescues one, and even more unnerved when he discovers he's in love with him.

Several beautifully written stories. The last, about a young man haunted by the death of his stepbrother, but offered the possibility of moving through the grief by a lover, is my favourite. In the first, Haruki does not want a new stepmother, but he is reconciled to it by a touching admission from his stepbrother, Yuki, who crossdresses as a girl. Years later, Yuki makes his living as a female model. Haruki is attracted to him, and the situation is too complicated. The artwork is very pretty and the story is very gentle and sweet. There is too much emotional content for these stories to be considered fluff, but they are very sweet and affirming.

Very cute and sexy story about an idiotic host who reunites with someone he has forgotten from his past. Although the tag reads that the manga is incomplete, it works as a short 2-chapter story.
