4.5 stars 4 seems not about right esp with what i rated other mangas i see where the author was going with the premise of the story but i just don't think the pacing was executed properly the plot was kind of rushed and predictable she tried with the angst but it was low tier i dislike how everything so easily fell in place; it's boringly unrealistic and doesn't make for a well written story because who doesn't like characters with obstacles?? satisfying? yes! but for people who read a gazillion historical webtoons/novels, it's difficult to stay interested maybe if i read this 2 years ago it would have been better in my eyes istg this is the tgcf/mxtx/erha effect; i can't really appreciate any other historical bl because the bar was set so high by them

SIDE STORIES WERE GREAT GREAT ASS SIDE STORIES GREAT STORY TELLING IMO ALBEIT WEIRD author is commended for making me feel sympathy for that piece of shit and the ending was perfect even though it was sad it was the most realistic ending imo and the author couldn't have done it better Main story was meh and confusing and hard to keep up with only reason this gets a 5 is because of the side stories

i really enjoyed this because of how their feelings developed i think their internal struggles were very realistic, and i love how it was explored through glimpses of memories and flashbacks instead of just being said in a boring dialogue i like the idea of "i lost my passion or my heart broke, but then i was mend by you" the clock can symbolize the time it takes to heal and fall in love, although there was some more breaking (troubles from 2nd ml) along the way before everything was fully mended from their feelings for each other i love how the characters felt like actual characters instead of shitty people who are just good looking they have their own struggles and readers can empathize with them

There were some plot holes and discontinued plots like the uncle wasn’t resolved that well, his brother’s condition was left untouched, and the author didn’t explore his past relationship and what happened. Could’ve been better but nonetheless was an interesting read and I don’t want to give it a bad rating because I enjoyed it even though I was bothered that the author left some plot holes. I was really hoping the author would write about the side couple (Muhu and Sullivan) but she didn’t It still has a special place in my heart because I love this author and her art is so good
