Seeing that the author drew some hetalia doujinshis, I can see some of that influence drawn in here. The drawing is delicate and the story was never dull. The incident between the son and father reminded me of the japanese movie I watched called 'funeral parade of roses'. I see comments below that the thing with the father appeared out of nowhere or that their reunion should've been thought out differently, but I will have to disagree. I can't see it in any other way.
