So I liked this a lot. Jus not quite enough to give it a 9.6. I’m giving it a 9.55 tho. The plot was really whatever+. The SMUT tho?!?! Wheeeew chile. Man, wow. Um, mhmmm yeah. So this too, a bunch of bdsm fantasies I had and didn’t have and depicted them but like other BL did not stop short. Nah, they truly went ahead and went all the way with that shot. Ran with it even. Yeah. That was good lol. Probably the healthiest depiction of BDSM I’ve seen in a BL so far and my fav too. That why this has an honorable mention tag. It would also have a “can I has this top?” tag too- and I mean it really almost did- if it weren’t for Cha Sowin’s social ineptitude. Cha Sowin in bed? Hell yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah daddy (or should I say, master? ). Cha Sowin in a social setting with people other than Jononi? Ewwww. Like, it’s one thing to be like, “I’m a bad boy and I do what I want so people are too scared to talk to me at school”. Like, we can do that and that can be fine. But “I am not a bad boy, I’m just rudely cold to people and they dislike me because I seem to act like I’m better than everyone else”? Hell no ick ick ick. That’s not hot at all. An ideal partner is kind to people other than myself. Even if Cha Sowin tried changing that part of him because Jooni told him to, it’s still not acceptable that he wasn’t goin to do that on his own at his big age. Whatever, Jooni is a sweet sweet precious adorable hot foine ass baby fox and I love him so very much. His backstory also made me wanna cry a wittle bit

So….. this deserves quite the extensive review. Where to start? Okay first of all, the title is so lazy ya ridiculous. Lol, translation issues or not, it sucks haha. Second of all, the second couple deserved more room in the story than they got especially considering there was over 100 chapters. The way the second couple here was written reminds me of the way the second couple was written in Vargoth’s Magical Toys. Like aside from that and this maybe I’ve only seen it one other time to this extent: the levels of depth and maturity differ so greatly you’d think it was almost not the same author written both couples’ stories! It’s crazy bro. First couple is like meh basic-ish but the second one is like daaaaaamn the writing and nature of the relationship and all of it…. just got so much more rich! Huh. Anyway, I must admit I did not like the bottom of the second couple at first, but I by the end I grew to care for him deeply. Oh how I do love it when my mind gets changed about a character in this way! Particularly when the character doesn’t actually change at all but it’s just my mind that changes. The top in the second couple? Elian? uwuuuuuuuuuu bro. aghadkkddjwi. daddy? sorry- daddy? sorry- daddy? Like ugh, I am so enamoured by this man and think he’s so appealing!!! I thought that a bit before his relationship with the bottom, on a surface level, but after their relationship began? AGH I grew so much more in love with him!!! Anyway, yeah second couple kicks first couples ass lol. Now the first couple? I didn’t like the top really. Didn’t care for him in the beginning and it stayed exactly that way till the end. He’s honestly such a disappointment and him being so throughout lacking brought down the value of this BL greatly for me. It wasn’t a make-or-break thing but still. The MC on the other hand, was truly phenomenal. There was no single way not to adore his character and anyone who claims they didn’t like him is lying through their teeth. He’s adorable and smart and competent and caring and gosh darn it they blew the “character traits” budget on him so much so that there was nothing left for the top when they went to write him lol. But yeah MC baby is truly a bad bitch. There are not enough words to describe how much the top does not deserve him. He was hot as hell and I wanted him for myself. It’s not often you get a bottom quite this much hotter than the top. The plot itself was more interesting than the first couple but not nearly as interesting as the second couple. So it was alright. It would have benefited from being MUCH MUCH MUCH shorter than it was. Around chapter 70 I remember thinking there was a pretty clear opportunity to end it. Not saying I don’t like what came after chapter 70, because those are some of my fav moments. But nah they should have went through the whole story and skimmed the fat if that was a thing they could do. (I know it’s not when you’re putting out one chapter at a time over a long period of time ♀.) Aside from he story being too full, around chapter 70 is where you first see the beginnings of the plot loosing itself a bit and getting confusing. Well no, not even confusing, just complicated. Complicated can be a good thing but when it’s complicated to the point where the reader starts losing interest because understanding what’s going on doesn’t seem all that worth it? Yeah, that’s not good. However, if chapter 70 continued the the story but we switched to the second couple being our main? Hmmm, it would have probs been worth it. At least for about 20 more chapters it definitely would have. Yeah, I guess we just exhausted the potential of the first couple and yet kept dragging them along a bit. Especially talking about the storyline between the top (who I already didn’t like) and his dad. Alright, I think I kind of listed most of the main main problems. One not so main problem but a problem for me subjectively nonetheless??? The lack of detailed sex scenes. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not some shonen ai anti who thinks a story can’t be good without raunchy stuffs. No, it’s not that. But for a story that is 1) longer than it should be, 2) has a main couple who’s story they are exhausting and 3) who’s top is completely inadequate? More legitimate sex scenes could have really helped out here and dare I say had the potential to turn the tide on my overall emotions about the story even with all the other problems the same way they were. Alas, not a single light saber was shown. So we’re done with the problems. Now what is it this story had going for it? I already mentioned some things but one thing in particular, a social sauce sprinkled all throughout the chapters? The syntax of the writing was very, quite good. Not the diction, no, that was just fine. The syntax really truly controls the tone of this price and moves it in an entertaining, and at times thought-provoking direction. It makes for really good conversations between characters and the characters’ inner monologues can be a real treat. This thing about syntax def goes even more so for the second couple, as individual characters but also as a pair. Overall, I’m a bit conflicted on what score to give this BL. I can tell a lot of effort went into it but the effort is distributed all unevenly and it makes the story swiped lopsided. The relationship of the second couple? The MC as a character? The lore? The syntax? Soooo much effort that shines through and pays off. However the other parts that didn’t get enough attention cannot be ignored because they really lessened the experience. Tbh, I can’t help seeing the good parts here as wasted potential and wishing that they kind of were in their own different story devoid of all of the bad or basic elements of this one. Hmmmm, I think I’ll go ahead and give this the 9.2 it already has on mangago, partially because I simply cannot decide for myself. I might come back and decide on a more souriante rating later if I give it more thought. Note: the label about the top is clearly for second couple UPDATE: I’ve mulled it over a bit and read the review again and decided to bump this to a 9.29. The MC was really soooo great!

This here is… one of my guiltiest of guilty pleasures. This is one of my most pleasurable of guilty pleasures. Oh my goodness. I am simply smitten. My first ploy relationship in fiction ever. It makes me so happy. My heart is so full. I really needed to see that I think, like I really did. I feel like it’s opened up my worldview literally. I’ve been identifying as poly for a while now (about 3 years) but it’s always been more of a vague concept- never something I ever thought about to concretely. And that’s in large part because of how little representation there is like, anywhere. Obvi it won’t be on mainstream tv or romance anime considering the time. But the fact that I couldn’t even find it in BL really shows just how non-favorably polyamory is viewed today. So this BL here? Did something kind of revolutionary for me. Did some toxic shit happen? Hella yeah, Kou and Ginga did some truly unforgivable shit to Yuu. However, I’m quite willing to overlook it. Why? Multiple reasons. Is it because of how much I like this being poly? Yeah, that too. But also because of the way that the artist sculpted a particular tone and vibe throughout this story. It’s a tone that allows the reader to really suspend their disbelief as well as the nitty gritty parts of their morality for the sake of making this story work. She truly allowed me to grant myself a full escape from reality. It’s not just that the MC is okay with those toxic things, but it’s more so the way he responded and the way the two of them responded in he aftermath that’s made it work. Just enough condemning the bad thing, just enough them being genuinely sorry and knowing they don’t have a valid excuse, but most importantly the MC not forgiving them because is illusioned into thinking abuse = love/okay because of love. But more so him thinking “well that was horrible but I love these guys and won’t stop loving them so I will choose to forgive them and whip them into shape so that we can all move forward into a happy future that is happy not just because I have them but happy because I chose it of my own will”. Idk, I don’t think I explained that well, but that’s good enough for now. Anyway, the art was very mediocre. But the sex scenes, humour, characters, plot, and dialogue?????????????????? Waaaay up there bro!!!!! Me thinks if this BL had good art on top of that I’d pass out from joy before I could finish reading . This BL is a prime example of dirty talk done right. Oh and the characters all felt so real and I got t know and love each one of the three. The rapport they have with one another is also phenomenal. No cop outs around here bro they all loved each other dearly and I could feel it through the page. No matter which two out of three you pick to put in a separate room, the vibes in that room will be stupendous. We really denounced the idea of depending on tropes to tell the story with this one in one million ways. Were tropes present? I mean yeah, but that’s not a bad thing. So many of these tropes were tweaked slightly to really make them a new thing of its own. Instead of one trope per character and that character’s personality being based 90% on that trope with the other 10% being other quirks, each character basically got two tropes that almost directly contradicted each other to work with as groundwork and the the character was fleshed out built to fullness from there. They’re so multi-faceted, good looking, funny, and lovable. Overall, the traits of this that I like are not present only in this BL (aside from the polyamory). However, it isn’t often that I see all of those traits fall into one single BL and wrapped up so wholesomely with a smutty bow on top. This author has garnered my praise. I’m giving this a 9.4. Anyway, moving onto this final, once and for all review: I LOVED it. Ahhh it’s a very guilty pleasure. I can’t help it. I couldn’t help it if I tried! Keeping up with the ins and outs and ups and downs of Felix and Giovanni’s relationship was the soapiest opera-iest thing I’ve ever done in my life, and I did it for like, 2 years lol. I did it for two years, and that’s with me already being two years and over a hundred chapters late to the game! I honestly can’t imagine how the girls who read this story for FOUR years are feeling now that it’s over! Felix will ALWAYS () and forever be my darling baby boy and no one and nothing could ever make me say otherwise. He is the cutest thing that has ever graced the face of this planet and I’d kill for his happiness. Now…Giovanni?

This is a feeling I haven’t felt since reading Love Shuttle (which makes sense because it’s the same beautiful author!!!) key characteristics about this author: aesthetically pleasing muted color palette, the way she draws eyebrows behind bangs, the way she draws blush to look so damn seductive, sex scenes only a true woman of culture could create, an absolute cutie head of an MC, some of the most respectful and courteous yet hot tops in all of BL, etc…. (oh yeah and also….. her OBSESSION with incest ). lmfao, like…. girl FRIEND what do we need to do to help you get that out of your system once and for all?? . Lmfao, lemme stop. Could’ve should’ve would’ve been a 9.6, but they very blatantly decided to give me an upsetting ending when a happy one was clearly in their sights. How upsetting lol. No, but like actually. Like why the hell would it end like this? Ugly move bro Anyway, I loved so so so much of this. Only other bit problem in addition to that ending was that it was lacking some depth in the plot. Anyway yeah, wish the ending wasn’t so upsetting so I could give this a 9.6, lol. So so so much of this was giving 9.6 material. Like so many parts were beautiful (as expected from this author.) So, this was for sure a fun, cute, and good time haha. Bad but in a silly way, you know? So so soooooo silly. I wish there was a smidgen less sex than there was, but I also admit that some of these sex scenes were reeeeeeeally hot!!!!!!! That being said.... this author is not very good at writing sex scenes between men because there was no lube used ever, and also often no foreplay, no preparation or nothing! Shit looked quite painful sometimes! Not very accurate or good representation. Anyway, sex aside you know I love a secret agent/spy BL! Ahhhhhh this one was so silly and bad but entertaining. A bit of hot garbage you know? At random times it reminded me lightly of Kiss Me, Liar and Wild City due to the author's writing style. At times, the drama and conflict between the couple unexpectedly really got me! I was feeling the feels lol. It was sometimes a bit sad when they were clearly in pain over their situation. It was sometimes a bit funny, but more often than that I was laughing at how stupid it was. (Candy being the supposed "#1 agent" but also being the worst agent I've ever seen!).
