sooo it’s really good i’ve read this two times i NEED s2 4/13/24 update- after taking a break from reading this because i thought it would've been done in a year (s2 took forever to come lol) but it wasn't so i'm back and honestly really ready for everything to come crashing down rn.. their trauma runs deep and it's definitely going to stay there forever but it'll definitely heal so it's not affecting them as much! i really love the storyline and how much depth each character is given.. though sometimes i find myself wondering why a certain character did this and that and even makes me upset sometimes BUT ik it's their way of expressing themselves no matter how hard it can be.. the latest chapter (98) rlly just shows how cirrus has this deep facade he wants to keep up and anyone interfering just seems like a nuisance (except skylar ofc because they have that 'trauma connection') i'm so not ready for coming angst and any anguish that i'm going to feel because of this 1/25/25 edit- it's finally almost over and the massive character development and the heavy plot that's this story leaves you with is just so deep leaving you with empty but powerful emotions.. you don't get the story unless you put yourself in the other characters' shoes and you really have to sympathize with all their trauma. this is a bittersweet story about coming of age in a prejudiced world and learning how to come to acceptance / fight against the obstacles around. 2/21/25 update- the end... i never thought i would see the ending to be honest it took 4 years for it to finish beautifully and i started 3 years ago when i was literally 11 moving on to the big 12.. and now im almost 16 time literally flies and before you know it you look back on the past with a smile on your face and you can just laugh about it however much you had which is a good sign because it shows how you can be happy about the life you've lived so far and i always take that for granted. kim pas was really bouta risk it all to make the last chapter be freaky but decided to spare the readers because once again let me remind you that i am ONLY and just a reader following the wishes of the author and going through it too..! anyway im just glad this ended happily because i had no clue how this was gonna pan out with the amount of drama in the last couple of months and im kind of sad that i wont be getting an weekly updates anymore.. skylar and cirrus were life changing and made me disagree with so many peoples opinions which made me so mad all the time but it just took time to realize that you actually have to put yourself in their shoes and experience what they are going through too at the same time because as the reader like someone once said, you see it through both povs but the main characters only see it through there's so what they know is what they see they aren't mind readers and they aren't god so they are going to mess up and make mistakes like the rest of the world because they ARE human and humans whole life is dedicated to the world of mistakes. so yeah i've matured and one day when i'm up for it i'll read this series again i'll read it as an older teenager and understand what the older author was trying to convey through the story of two adolescent teenagers who believed that the world was never on their side but had to change their perspectives in order to see that, yes, it always was.
