3.5 stars. I love the way the poetry was interwoven through this, as well as the nature metaphors. (The Japanese and Chinese are particularly good at this.) It should have a shota tag, but, tbh, that would mean that I would never have read it, and I'm kind of glad that I did, (even though it made me cry and feel sick).

People in the comments all seem to love it, but I didn't like it. For one, I just didn't find it hot. Secondly, it was actually pretty disturbing. It seemed more like real rape than yaoi rape.

3 stars - would have been 3.5 stars if the art was less hideous. Those E.T. necks are freaking hilarious though! Pretty classic old school yaoi, but perhaps slightly more original than some others. The translations were a bit awkward, and the scan quality not great either, but still readable so it could be worse. I actually enjoyed these more than I thought I would. Actually, I've only read chapters 2, 4, 6 & 8, as they're the only ones up so far. Chapter 8 is incest shota. I was battling oposing thoughts throughout: 'Yay incest!' 'But he's only 13, this is so gross and wrong!' 'Yeah but it's INCEST! Just pretend he's older!' 'But this is so WRONG!' 'Shut up conscience and let me enjoy this!' I still feel guilty now.

As this is ongoing, I've only read the 1st 2 stories so far. I'd give 4 stars for the 2nd story; 3.5 stars for the 1st. The 2nd was quite thought-provoking and dark, as well as strangely hot... interesting... Edit: Ah! Just realised this is by the mangaka who wrote 'Kiwa'! It's very much the same kind of thought-provoking, twisted stuff, but I didn't recognise the mangaka, as the art is so different! I imagine this was written/drawn before 'Kiwa', as the art for the latter was prettier/cleaner.

I think only the last chapter is shota. After this, read the dj, 'Mitsubana', (also by Watanabe Asia).

Read this after 'Nibiiro no Hana Gou'.
