Ore, higaisha
Apparently, these are seriously dark and twisted. Can't wait!
Hoshi no Yakata
According to the comments, this is the most realistic manga portrayal of BDSM - both in the relationships between the Doms and their subs, and in the play itself. So, try to look past the art style and the epic length, and just read it already! Edit: Finally got round to reading this - so glad I did! Even the art, that originally put me off so much, I actually ended up really liking! It's just a shame they all looked so feminine. Master actually was pretty hot without his makeup and gelled back hair, but we only got to see him 'au naturel' when he was being dominated, which left me with the paradoxical feeling of wanting to be dominated by him only when I saw him being dominated lol. Although on further reflection, that may have more to do with the fact that his true strength and kindness showed more in those scenes. Food for thought, anyhow. I can tell that I'll be rereading this manga. For now I'm going to read the others by this mangaka... Edit 2: Oh yeah and I just need to express how much I love that scene in Sumiya's room after he's done dominating Master, and the little one, (whose name I can't remember), comes in, so Sumiya quickly hides Master so that he's not degraded in front of the other, but still gives him that cigarette. It was so sweet and funny, and that whole episode, (the way both of them acted), just shows how deeply they love, respect and care for one another, as well as how well they know their respective needs. This is the ONLY BDSM themed manga I've come across so far, that comes close to showing the depth of the bonds involved in such relationships, and for that I love it! Come to think of it, it may also be one of the only BDSM manga that even bothers to show the oh-so-important aftercare! Tl;Dr: The comments were right!
Tenshi no Uta (NISHIDA Higashi)
Sounds really good!
Shisei no Otoko
Ignore the crappy rating - this sounds seriously underrated!
Togainu No Chi Dj - Madman Dog Show
Metro Dog
3.5 stars. That was lovely! So sweet, but in a realistic, rather than a fluffy way. It was a sensitive portrayal of a relationship between mature adults. Quite refreshing. Also, I'm always glad to see couples practising safe sex. And they're a riba couple yay! Many reasons to like this manga. Why is it, then, that I can't bring myself to say it was brilliant or worth 4 stars? Maybe it was lacking a little oomph? Dunno - it was clearly MEANT to be a slow burner, and I LIKED that about it, but I still feel it was lacking something, though I can't quite put my finger on what... Maybe passion? Yeah, that's probably it. I'll certainly read more by this mangaka, though.
