A Painter Behind the Curtain
Congratulations to this beautiful series finishing in the most emotional and fulfilling way! This is a 10/10 story for sure and everyone should read it if you have patience and are willing to read all the wonderful dialogue! I love this series for many reasons but the few that are most important are the realism and the historical accuracy. The time period and art style feel so authentic. The clothing and mannerisms are so consistent and add immensely to the story the author is trying to convey. But the realism of the characters is what really takes this to the next level. When I say realism I mean that no one person is perfect, each character has flaws, sometimes huge flaws. Sometimes characters have to evolve or let go of things they wanted in the past in order to pursue their goals. In reality, we can't always have perfect friendships, perfect love lives, and perfect careers. Yet in many fictional stories, this is exactly what we see. In Painter behind the curtain, we see two people struggle through and overcome trauma, learn to love, realize that walking away is a choice too, and that sometimes those things you thought were too important to let go of were actually the chains weighing you down. Please read this amazing story!!! Thank you to the author and the translators! Re-read 02/12/23 What an incredible journey. I was once again blown away by the character development and story structure. The pacing is really incredible, it never feels to slow or rushed in any way. I loved every moment. Until next time <3
