Make Me Bark
So it's really cute. It's a comedy threw and threw, and I was laughing a lot once it hit its stride. But I almost dropped this in the first 10 chapters because to be blunt this has no substance. It is very pretty smut. There are essentially no backstories for anyone, no real conflict, no real problems. Just beautiful erotic sex scenes, funny scenarios, and smut. That is not a bad thing! But I wish there had been more to the story. **Also, this is tagged under BDSM? There are one or two sex scenes with BDSM play but most of it doesn't have any BDSM and they don't have a D/S relationship so I don't really know why that tag is there.
Oh! My Assistant Webtoon
Oh man, this was so funny. I really wanted this to be a 5 star, and it was so close to being perfect but alas this was just good. I would say that this story could be broken up into thirds. The first third is absolutely brilliant! The two characters coming together and realizing their feelings is so romantic, erotic, and comedic it hit all the high points! The last third of the story is also good, the story re-focuses on the two main characters as they come back together. They build a stronger relationship together and ultimately go on to live the independent life they desire remaining romantically devoted to each other. The ending was quite touching. But OH BOY that middle third! Was a CLUSTER FUCK. Out of nowhere the story diverges away from the main characters onto a side character who has a love triangle unrequited love thing for the MC urk. And they get into a car accident!!! TROPE ALERT! And the urk lets this scumbag lead him around by the nose while constantly abandoning his partner (the MC seme) which made the urk seem super unlikable! Because when the side character confessed, (the urk already knew about his feelings secretly.) We knew the urk was gonna refuse the side character so we kinda hated the urk for how he handled that. AND the urk was taking care of that slick git for 5 MONTHS!!!! While trampling the emotions of his boyfriend (seme) and the whole time he knew the side character was in love with him but he wasn't upfront about this with his boyfriend. And consistently chose his side-character friend over his boyfriend. So to sum it up: Part 1:love it, both characters are interesting and funny in their own way! Part 2: WFT have you done? Why is the Urk a c*nt now? Why are we following this side character? Why is there a random dramatic car crash? Why is there a 5-month time jump? Why is the urk acting like this? Part 3: Good, you pretty much saved this. I wish you hadn't made me so mad at the urk cause now I can't be truly happy for them *pouting noises* All in all, this was a fun read and very funny, I laughed a ton. If you have time to kill read the first 15 chapters you won't regret it!
Our Companionship
The first 20 chapters of this are really good and the narrative is clear a A+ story. After the 20 chapter mark, it switches perspectives and the story becomes a bit muddled, because we are seeing things from a different perspective it tends to drag on at times. However, I really liked the concept and the relationship of the two leads. SPOILER thoughts*** 1. Why does there ALWAYS have to be a rape/attempted rape scene? It was really not necessary and is so weird because it doesn't fit the tone of the rest of the story atl all. Like it totally comes out of no where. 2. The friend never learns about the MC secret feeling or even that he's gay, I felt that this was a missed narrative opportunity. 3. Up to chapter 20 we are told things from the MC's perspective but when the perspective switches to the ML (main love interest) we have to watch the same events unfold again, at times it was cute to see the different perspective but mostly it was a bit tiresome to basically watch all the same stuff we have seen before. 4. The last 10 chapters were really fluffy which I appreciated, overall I enjoyed this story and would recommend it.
