I really loved the story and the characters. The development of each person as an individual and a couple made logical sense and their combined story arch was very romantic. The challenges in their relationship were believable and made the story interesting. The sex scenes were erotic but did not interrupt the flow of the story, they added to it. The art style is unique and really quite beautiful, specifically the long hair which is featured in every panel must have taken a lot of extra time and effort to draw believably. For example the long hair has a much different texture when it is wet vs when it is dry, and there is so much of it this must have added substantial time while drawing, but it was worth every moment because it really adds to the atmosphere of this story. Overall I would highly recommend this manga to anyone who is looking for a good story with a romance at it core. I loved it!

Beautiful story, but very sad. Spoiler**** you never really get to see them happy together which after 29 chapters of violence and sadness is kinda a bummer.*** But great idea, well-executed and beautiful art!

An interesting story but with an abrupt ending, but I love the artwork.

A very honest look at what same-sex relationships would have looked like in different social classes during this time period. Although this is in some ways a very sad story it is also beautiful.

Undoubtedly one of the best stories I have EVER read! The art is amazing, the characters are well written and the whole thing is just breathtakingly beautiful. I only wish there was more. Please read this if you haven't already <3
