The story started pretty great, but my low rating is because of the horrible ending. & by “horrible”, I don’t mean the tragic part (I already knew it wasn’t going to have a happy ending— I got the “already dead lover” memo like everyone else) but there were a lot of things not very neatly wrapped up. I can understand him becoming semi-evil because of how much he wanted to be together with his lover, but the development of his obsessive feelings wasn’t shown well, so all in all, the ending was kind of like a sudden slap on the face from a good friend... unpleasant to say the least!

Uncharacteristicaly, I waited a long while for this to finish The story gets you hooked, but in the end, my evaluation took a nose dive compared to the beginning It’s just that...even though this was the best ending for me, I still can’t understand the uke...well, I’ve never been in an abusive relationship, so maybe I just don’t get it, but I always feel like in any abusive relationship, some of the fault actually lies with the abused party. This was a perfect example of that; I mean, even if he didn’t have the guts to tell Shogo the truth (that he loved him & that the intercourse with his ex was actually mostly rape) at that time, there was still no reason for h to stay with his abusive, shitty ex-bf!!! I think I should re-read this in a couple of years and see how my opinion would alter as I age~

Too short and vague and messed up to be interesting despite the potential and the attractive art...
