Marlene (whose real name is Joshua Galland of the Galland mafia family) has been secretly screening the patrons of a tavern, while playing the part of a piano player for hire. Joshua's assignment?: to seek out and report werewolves frequenting the tavern, and to determine whether or not its a secret hideout for them. Coyote (known as Lili to Marlene) is a patron of the tavern, and a werewolf! Marlene has no idea of Lili's true identity, until one night Lili goes into heat, and collapses, just outside the tavern. Marlene has been harboring an unrequited love for Lili, for quite some time. Marlene quickly figures out what is going on with Lili, and the two reluctantly (at least on Lili's part), become sex partners during Lili's heat cycle. Lili, aka Coyote, is a member of Keifer's pack, and is extremely distrustful of humans. Werewolves have been targeted, hunted down and killed, for years by the Galland family.
