Nights Before Night
Story of Shiro's pimp. Haru is a former Yakuza who runs a brothel, called Rain (named after his late lover). Haru is an insomniac, since his lover died almost 11 years ago. Although no longer a Yakuza, an old Yakuza acquaintance of Haru's comes to him with a job: act as guardian for the boss' youngest son, (and brother to Rain). Haru is unnerved by the young punk, who looks so much like the late Rain. The two constantly butt heads, until one afternoon Haru is taking a nap in his office. The punk finds him, Haru and touches his cheek. Haru wakes, disoriented, and calls the punk by Rain's name! Quickly realising his error, and embarrassed, Haru does to the bathroom to compose himself. What follows is the budding relationship between Haru and the punk. So glad Haru was able to find peace and love!
