This volume covers more of Alkil's tumultuous upbringing, his escape and how he finally addresses the issues of self doubt. Features the appearance of Alkil's brother, Venn, (Is he friend or foe? ) and a surprise visit from a malcontent from Alkil's past, who has an axe to grind with Alkil an now Loki.

Surprised by his attraction to the much older Reese, Jimmy takes a job at the bookstore just to be near Reese.
