Hahahaha, they are meant to be. Toda has a hard time expressing his emotions on his face (he’s stoned-faced/deadpan/expressionless). While Aya is a mind reader, so she can actually tell if Toda is sad/happy/etc even with his expressionless face. Toda’s stoned face was a huge problem for him as people began just getting tired (?) of him because they thought he didn’t share the same emotions as they did. For example, if the soccer team lost a game (toda’s on the team), the members/players are sad of course. But because toda is expressionless, he doesn’t look sad for their loss, therefore, causing a tense relationship between the two. This is just one example that shows how much of a problem toda thinks of his face. But aya doesn’t think that way and actually understands him (through his thoughts :)) … So they are a perfect couple, meant to be!!!!! This story is sooooo cute!
