Toshi no Sa x Omegaverse BL
I felt a mixture of emptiness and melancholy after this shows me how little impact some stories have on me. That ending being boiled down to natural instincts will always take over and makes me wonder at the author's intent. Why make another omegaverse and a one shot if nothing was ever going to be addressed storywise? I feel I may be too harsh, but I genuinely believe just making this have no plot would've been better. Even so, I commend the author's art style. The bite marks looked painful and ugly and made me wince - others normally cover it up or it just looks slightly wrong - but this had an element of reality in the level of wrongdoing that was committed, the sins of the father carried onto the son, and the fact that the rapist can walk free and still attain a job by the end of it.
Dungeon Meshi
The plot was simple, but the execution of it was brilliant and I definitely will remember these characters fondly. I liked how everything in the world was also tied together to lend more realism to the existence of the Dungeon; plus the sketches were really cute and I'll be checking out the mangaka's drawing collection! The art was absolutely stunning and some scenes from this manga will have me coming back just to look at them.
Special Benefits for Newlyweds
Currently waiting for the side stories. Normally I'm not invested in them at all since secondary couples don't ignite my interest, but the main storyline was written well enough - alas, it also left too many plot holes. So I want to see this finish properly before I give a full review.
Hand to Hand
It started and ended with rape and the partner leading the other around confessed to sucking his fingers whilst he was asleep, but ultimately expressed no regret or accountability. There was a close relationship between the two, so I think if they wanted to push that military kink or setting forward, there really wasn't a need for the rape and they could have just capitalised on the close relationship. That's just me though, and at the very least I really liked the art.
