hated it. this had so much potential for an interesting historical story but rape in the name of "cute romance" and misogyny were so fucking annoying the plot was absolutely shit but i at least loved the art

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHGDHJLHHH NOOOOO I FINISHED ON A CLIFFHANGER are song qing and honglian going to get married smoothly?? im also so glaadd about shen yu and jun xuanxiao but i wanna know more sbout bian shishi!!!!!!! alsO THE DRAMA IS REAAAALLL edit, i remember previously that i couldn't wait for the updates and wento read the novel translations: So even after the emperor "changed his behaviour for better" yu is still clearly traumatized as the first thought he had whe hes saw his husband shocked about his pregnancy, is to question if the emperor is back to his old ways and to follow honglians advice and abort it. speaking of honglian; ffs his husband never properly soothed him and still refers to honglians past carelessly even though honglian is clearly uncomfortable and traumatized by it. i remember liking the story back then for its drama but ffs the author didnt handle the semes properly, really feel like bunch of useless husbands lol LMAAAAOOO I JUST READ THE END AND THEY COULDN'T EVEN BE BOTHERED FINISH IT LOOOLLL unless they plan on publishing "side/extra chapters" sdjkdsjks
