I think, in my sole opinion, that George had intended to give Carrie a reminder of how much he loves her by leaving behind his creations. Who would do that if (1) he doesn't think the person is worthy, (2) he didn't love her deeply enough, and (3) he doesn't want to be remembered? Wearing his clothes that personally George would never sell to anyone means that she loves him still, and he wants to linger in her life too. The movie had the better ending not just because everything turned out well, but it followed the flow of event. **just a thought**

She's fortunate in that state. Stop giving that look that says you're that regretful, yearning to go back, envious, and oblivious that your partner is there witnessing everything. For me it's enough that you have someone by your side with commitment, even though it's obvious that feelings aren't perfect and pure. Just having someone is an advantage if you think the other way around.
