The FL was really annoying in the beginning with not wanting the ML to be involved with the child due to her stubbornness, denying help when she NEEDS it, or discrediting everything he says based on her own assumptions that if she thought for one second on how he's overall been acting wouldn't be true. Ik she has deep trauma, but it's irritating when it's the whole damn story basically. Only thing that saved this was the ML being a straightforward person.
