Don't take this seriously. It's just the Mosspaca artists being silly...though some of the stories do have wonderful messages. If you enjoyed the art style of this, I strongly suggest reading their other works. (I especially love "The Specific Heat Capacity of Love". That one'll make you cry, so grab the tissues.)
