Y'all, this was a weird one, absolutely. First, the rabbit is basically sold for food for the village, which doesn't make sense, because the wolf people knew for like 15 years that they'd want a rabbit, I'm pretty sure. Like rabbit villages should be in the know about this and lots of tribes/clans should be in contact with them. But whatever. But then the fiance wolf is rude/apathetic to the rabbit, but that's just because he's been on an emotion-nullifying drug for his entire life! And no one told the rabbit or prepared him in any way. And then for no apparent reason, they have a bizarre month-long ritual to "prepare" the rabbit for mating, which involves alcohol and aphrodisiacs. Which the rabbit does not consent to and does not enjoy. But they're also not meant to have sex until marriage/mating! So the wolf doesn't "help" the rabbit with the effects of the aphrodisiac. So the wolf's cousin comes by secretly and helps instead. And then when the wolf finds out, he goes feral and turns into a full body wolf and doesn't remember anyone or anything. So on the off chance that it's not too late for the wolf to turn back, THE RABBIT HAS SEX WITH THIS ACTUAL WOLF WHILE IT IS SEDATED, and then of course it miraculously works, and now the wolf is back and they can get married. And there is no further discussion about the cousin assaulting the rabbit because he was just trying to help. And now of course the wolf and the rabbit care about each other, and will go on to have a happy marriage. WHAT IS THIS
