Heesu in Class 2
This. is. how. you. write. BL!!! Both characters are such adorable example of first love, the balance of conflict is strong enough to make you feel angst but not too much that it twerks you out as a reader. Perfect beautiful misdirection, only slight fault to this series could be B couple and the strange abrupt lack of ending or resolution It's just ..... SO GOOD!!! LIKE UWWWAAA, no matter how many times I reread this I still feel it deep in my chest. Both leads are just so well written, the author has created two fully fledged individuals that are multilayered but also make sense. Their relationship is just super wholesome and pure, while still having that electric chemistry between them. Theres a great balance of tackling larger issues (post-grad, coming out) without it being overly heavy or preachy. Art style is also phenomenal, maybe even one of my favorites ever. the dialogue is so great, and doesn't rely on tropes we see before. Want to get into her new series but just so hopelessly in love with this one!
For Your Love
UGHHH. This one really pulls at my heartstrings, the yearning and character development is super strong on this one. I really love that the author took the time to develop their friendship before even introducing the romantic aspects. I think it might have been difficult to read/get into if I was reading it over multiple weeks, but its perfect for one sitting. Yohan learning to discover his feelings was done really well, only slight critique was it kind of fell into the "I'm not gay I only love you" trope but the brother and LGBT representation made up for it. I wish that second lead had more of a dramatic climax to finally expressing his feelings or we saw more frustration build from Yohan's perspective. Rereading it made me feel like it was slightly pushed, I wanted more of an internal struggle where he realizes he doesn't confess his feelings and learns to be more open (but not mad with how it was executed in the comic). Also felt the realism of college was handled well, good balance of stress and reality. Overall I just really love this one, so many amazing aspects that make it stand above the rest!! (Personally dislike the poor use of side characters and nonexistent B couple but I think that might be turned into a spin off series, either that or I'm confusing it with another Ive read)
