the way that this manga was more profound than any media in recent years; the meaning of life has always been somewhat of an unanswerable question, but this kind of answers it usagi and arisu wildin here; THE LIVE ACTION IS JUST AS GOOD

maybe this didn’t hit as hard because for one, imo this is more for the male audience and two, just not in the right headspace to be reading such a depressive manga; even so, this manga probably has the best usage of metaphors in like…ever; there’s just so much to unpack and definitely going to watch a three hour video essay on it later

it started off so weird and then proceeded to break my heart into fifty different pieces; THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO GET MARRIED!!!! the mother saying “it’s not my fault” and denying any blame till the very end makes my blood boil. fuck parents like that

truly in awe—wtf did we just witness here… an unexplainable masterpiece perhaps? cause what in the world?! there’s so much symbolism and the only thing that is similar to this or gives me the same feeling is satoshi kon’s “paprika”
