I'd like to share about why I love this, See even though Jing Shao traveled back in the past, he isn't a know it all and there are still a lot of things that he didn't know. Hr didn't become a genius overnight and instead have his wife to help him in that department.
I saw some people complaining about how the mc doesn't have an intelligence and that he's dumb, clearly the seme spent his teens fighting in war instead of busting his ass to study, he doesn't have the skills to govern a country and I love that author didn't make him a genius cause that would be his wife's role to balance it out.
Also as for the rape, Honestly it's already expected since we also need to consider the timeline when reading a story, the mindset of these people from the past and the situation. Author didn't glossed over the trauma either, The seme redeemed himself and took great care of his wife while building a trusting relationship. I don't excuse rape :^D but that's part of the plot like, y'all if a single terrible action would make you shy away from the story, then clearly you have no understanding of fiction to reality.
