The sex scenes are really hot and the story is good (esp at first). However, I don't really understand parts of the monologues - it feels like it's trying to be deep without actually being deep? SPOILERS: I also don't understand how people in the comments are sympathizing w/ Chang: he pays Ed's hospital bill by giving Ed an insanely high interest rate that he can't pay off (Ed has already paid off the principle), then offers to lower the debt if Ed works for him, except the work he wants Ed to do is ILLEGAL. Then he's upset that Ed is making porn (legally) to pay off the debt that he put Ed in?? If he really loved Ed, he could've just paid the hospital bills without charging him interest or put him on a payment plan especially since Chang is rich. Also why are people upset with Mcqueen? Everything he did was quite consensual and not coerced at all - Ed may have done them b/c he's in love with Mcqueen, but that's not Mcqueen's fault. He accepted Ed's application to be a porn actor, asked if Ed wanted to do gay porn (and Ed AGREED TO for the $$), then asked if Ed wanted to bottom (which he AGREED TO), then asked if Ed was ok if the partner was him instead (which Ed once again AGREED TO). So I don't even understand why Ed is so upset at Mcqueen. Like, I understand him being upset/frustrated at himself for getting outed for doing gay porn (and maybe it was b/c Mcqueen was on the news), but Ed is the one who agreed to be in the pornos, and out loud he said he was ok with it all. And Ed wouldn't even have had to do any gay porn at all if it wasn't for the ridiculous debt that Chang put him in. And last thing, I guess Ed ultimately does do illegal things (being an escort), but I don't think the law is as harsh for an escort vs. money laundering/whatever illegal Chinese mafia thing Chang is up to.
