Cute manga about a boy who has a crush on the owner of a cafe. He wants to be an adult, but he doesn't exactly know what that entails. It turns out he's not alone. I like the simplistic drawings for this manga, it suits it very well.

Cool webtoon about cooking simple dishes for college students who have no time to cook proper meals. Looks handy. Art is below average though. I enjoyed the real life pictures.

Personally, I don't like this manga. It might be because of the old-fashioned art style, which is typically found in older generation of manga that uses thick gritty lines. All the characters are unappealing, and I don't care about them. I believe the main character is supposed to be the retired manga editor, but it also focuses on his former colleagues and mangakas that he worked with. Maybe the author of this manga wants this to be a philosophical take on the manga industry, but so far, I'm just not feeling it. It's just a bunch of people doing random things as they figure out their lives.

Sesame Salt and Pudding

It's a pretty cute josei manga about a girl who drunkenly marries an older man, and the two of them falling in love with each other. It's little too fast for me to believe it completely, but they do have some sweet moments. The whole thing about his ex-lover was a bit weird, and I didn't completely understand what was going on there. The art is very simple for a josei manga, and it lacks the characteristic pretty screentones found in shoujo manga, so overall, it feels flat.

So cute and touching. There's a lot of sadness but also joy when it comes to owning a pet. This webtoon manages to capture all of that.

Hosomura-San With Cat's Snack

A poor OL finds a stray, starving cat and brings it home. She's broke, so she barely has food for herself, but she cooks to feed both her and the cat. Definitely relatable. Art is average for a manga. It's weird that her altar has two photos where each person is also holding a pet, because it looked very unnatural and forced. People would usually put photos of just the person or family photos, after all. Maybe if it was just one photo of a person with a pet, it would be okay, but two different people with two different pets is just awkward. That's where item placement is super important in panel composition.

Aki wa Haru to Gohan wo Tabetai

I was hoping they'd make this a bromance thing, but it's clear that Haru likes Aki because of all the blushing, how disappointing. Is it too much to ask for a platonic roommate relationship? The art is below average for a manga. The cooking is also meh and uninspired, honestly. Not really a fan of this at all.

Papa to Oyaji no Uchi Gohan

Aw, the kids are cute and it's so relatable to have to cook for picky people haha. I think my personality is the same as the black-haired dad, super blunt and aggressive at times. I also react the same way when something I'm cooking isn't going well. I like the art in this manga, I think it's slightly above average in terms of manga art quality and readability, with proper shading and panelling. Too bad this has been dropped, so I don't think I'll be able to read what comes next. I love how this is not a BL, honestly it doesn't need to be to be a good manga. People just want romance in everything they read, and it's pretty tiresome to read after a while.

The Life of the Witch Who Remains Single for About 300 Years!

Ongoing | HARADA Shigemitsu,MATSUMOTO Kyuujo | 2000 released

It's ok, fairly interesting. The gimmick is that every chapter details the life of a single woman in her mid-life crisis moments but she's actually a 300++-year old witch. I don't know if she has really been single in the whole 300 year period since she's dated lots of men during that period of time, and it just didn't last, I think. The gimmick of the story gets old quick though, I'm rather bored with the recent chapters since nothing major has happened and she's returned to normal singles lifestyle. There's basically no conflict and it's supposed to be humorous, but I personally don't find it funny myself. Update: After a lot of rinse and repeat with her failing to find a good guy, she gets married with the original guy she liked. And he's cool with her being a witch, and she still has her powers. Meh. Ending is not surprising at all. She could have thought of this possibility herself, getting the best of both worlds. Shows how stupid she is.

There are some nice chapters, but also a lot of mediocre ones involving fart and shit jokes, which is very low-brow humor. There is a sense of development, while the characters retain their key characteristics, so it's interesting to see. Art is overly simplistic, but it is fine for this genre.
