Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
4-koma comedy manga at its best! Never fails to make me laugh. The main characters take one step forward in their romance, and then three steps back. It's so ridiculous!
The Duchess with an Empty Soul
Haha, I was laughing so hard when it turned out her original male love interest was in love with her male cousin. That's refreshing compared to other isekai I've read. However, the story goes stale quickly after she allies herself with the new male lead. She's too powerful and her new male love interest is showering her with gifts to show how much he loves her. I'm sorry, but that's not romantic at all. I'm bored by the developments in the recent chapters. Yawn. Art is decent, but not the best.
Shame♡Application
The art is decent, but I dislike all the characters. The plot is almost non-existent, and it's just an excuse for the two guys to have sex with each other in non-interesting ways. The author introduced another male character to create some conflict, but the story moves so slowly, he might as well not have been written in in the first place. I don't buy any of the romances that have been set in the story so far. The webtoon basically ended with the two original guys getting together, and the extra third wheel guy didn't even have a chance to do anything, so he was just a useless extra. And in the side stories, the extra character gets raped by an extra extra. Sigh.
Holy Chef, Crazy Empress
It's pretty hilarious, but currently slowing down in terms of plot. The art is nothing impressive, it's serviceable. The female lead is very strong and independent, but I feel there's a huge disconnect between her past life and her current life. No matter what, I don't see her as a professional assassin. The story's going for a reverse harem, and she's surrounded by ikemen. There's a lot of characters and it's easy to lose track of which characters have already been introduced. I don't like how she already slept with the Emperor even though their relationship hasn't gotten to the peak yet, and they both still have lots of secrets from each other.
Emperor And The Female Knight
It was great at the beginning, I liked Pauliana as the badass female lead. But later on, it skips a lot of the war to jump straight to romance, which sucks. There's not much focus on Pauliana herself, and more on the emperor's infatuation with her, which I find to be too rushed to be realistic. Pauliana is oblivious and stupid outside of fighting. I feel very let down by this webtoon. Art is ok, but Pauliana is not pretty at all. The emperor's forehead is way too wide, and I can't stop staring at it. It was even more obvious in the April Fool's chapter where he was bald, and I cannot unsee it. I'm pretty disappointed in this webtoon, it had a lot of potential to be great.
The Evil Sorceress Plans to Survive!
It's not bad so far, but updates are slow so sometimes I forget what I last read. Not much has happened so far, and there isn't any real conflict yet. Art is nice to look at. Update: I read this was dropped by the artist, and there's a remake by another person, so I'm marking this as complete.
Skip Beat
The beginning of this manga was really good, and the female lead was both likeable and relatable. As the series went on, she just became kind of stupid and intolerable. It went seriously downhill after the arc where she had to be Ren's fake sister who had a bro-con complex with him. That was so dumb and not salvageable at that point. At least Ren finally admitted his feelings for her. Honestly, I like her interaction with Shou more than with Ren. It's more natural and organic, while with Ren it's uncomfortable and forced. I enjoyed the sections where she prepared for acting jobs but the author has stopped showing those bits of her life, what a letdown...
Please Throw Me Away
The art is good, I love how distinctive the female lead looks. Her adopted family is awful, but I don't really sense the emotional and mental anguish from her. I do feel somewhat sorry for her, but the author hasn't made me empathize with her. Her male interest was introduced far too early, so the webtoon is probably going to focus on their romance...meh. I don't like the pairing very much so far. The tombstone hunt sounds boring to me. We'll see where this goes...I'll probably end up docking more stars off though. Yup, I'm docking another star off because the interaction between the protagonist and the male lead is so dull and uninspiring, it's neither romantic nor suspenseful, and it's already dragged this out for a couple chapters now.
The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass
The art is really good for this webtoon! I love how the villainess female lead is actually a villainess and goes out of her way to make people pay, unlike other villainess isekai where the villainess attempts to right their wrongdoings and become the heroine. She's very intelligent and doesn't really rely on other people to help her, it's quite refreshing to read.
The Reason Why Raeliana Ended up at the Duke's Mansion
