Teaching Him Gradually

Ongoing | 赵有猫fiya, Ntsye,Zhao youmao fiya | 2000 released

A fashion designer is isekai'd to another world by summoning, and it turns out that he's found himself in a royal palace where his old lover from a previous life is waiting for him to return. The art is very nice, and there is an efficient use of webtoon panelling. There is isn't too much of a plot yet, besides the male lead wanting to go back to his own world, and his male love interest wanting to break the chains that connect the two of them together. It doesn't make sense how he's so good with makeup though, since he's a fashion designer, and not a stylist. Just because he's a genius in making clothes doesn't mean he's also good at using makeup, because those are two different jobs. Update: The translation no longer makes any sense, and I have no clue what is going on.

My Eunha

Female lead learns her boyfriend of 17 years died of a plane crash on the night he proposed to her, and she wants to turn back time to fix their relationship. She gets what she wished for, but it seems her past isn't what she remembered. There are several moments and things that have changed around, and she wonders if she can make her old boyfriend fall deeper in love with her this time around. I'm confused what their old relationship used to be before time was reversed, since it didn't really show many problems, besides that they were drifting apart, and that she felt somewhat suffocated in the relationship. That's not really enough to go on, since now she's back in time, she seems like she's heads over heels with him all over again. And the only reason she wished to see him again after learning of his death was because she did love him? So I don't know why she was so unhappy in the beginning. Maybe it will be addressed later. And surprisingly, the art in the actual webtoon is much better than the cover art, which is rare, since usually the cover art is gorgeous and the actual art is crap.

The Savior's Book Café in Another World

Not a typical isekai, the female lead is sent to another world, but she doesn't want to be a hero or stand out at all. What she really wants is to have her own book cafe where she greets the customers and makes food for them while they read the books she has. Her first customer turns out to be the captain of the knights, and they quickly begin to develop feelings for each other. It's done in a cute but convincing way, so I approve of this relationship. The art is great, as with most manga.

It's a pretty cute josei manga about a girl who drunkenly marries an older man, and the two of them falling in love with each other. It's little too fast for me to believe it completely, but they do have some sweet moments. The whole thing about his ex-lover was a bit weird, and I didn't completely understand what was going on there. The art is very simple for a josei manga, and it lacks the characteristic pretty screentones found in shoujo manga, so overall, it feels flat.

The Life of the Witch Who Remains Single for About 300 Years!

Ongoing | HARADA Shigemitsu,MATSUMOTO Kyuujo | 2000 released

It's ok, fairly interesting. The gimmick is that every chapter details the life of a single woman in her mid-life crisis moments but she's actually a 300++-year old witch. I don't know if she has really been single in the whole 300 year period since she's dated lots of men during that period of time, and it just didn't last, I think. The gimmick of the story gets old quick though, I'm rather bored with the recent chapters since nothing major has happened and she's returned to normal singles lifestyle. There's basically no conflict and it's supposed to be humorous, but I personally don't find it funny myself. Update: After a lot of rinse and repeat with her failing to find a good guy, she gets married with the original guy she liked. And he's cool with her being a witch, and she still has her powers. Meh. Ending is not surprising at all. She could have thought of this possibility herself, getting the best of both worlds. Shows how stupid she is.

Ahhhh, I love this mangaka, and her ability to make me feel all torn up inside watching her characters suffer horrible losses and struggling with the tragic events of life. There's a lot of cliches, but she executes them so well. There is no lazy lack-of-communication conflicts here, it's all happening even when people talk things out, because sometimes you just can't predict what life will bring you. The art is fantastic as always, but Haru's appearance suddenly changes from the first chapter to the most recent one, haha. Did the mangaka forget what he looked like? I hope to read the future chapters soon, because it's left on a cliffhanger!

True Beauty

This webtoon is full of overused tropes to create drama, but it does it well enough to make people want to continue reading it. It's like a Kdrama but slightly worse. The premise is that the main character, Jugyeong, is an extremely ugly girl who can change her appearance to look very beautiful after makeup. She goes around in her new life thinking that her new appearance will bring her happiness, but it doesn't. She meets a bunch of hot guys who are all too good for her, but they all miraculously love her despite all her flaws and shortcomings. There's breakups, car accidents, drinking, stalkers, etc. The art is fantastic when it wants to be, but very lazy at other times. Just grab your popcorn and read along, I guess.

One of my first shoujo manga, it's not as good as I remembered, but the art is great and the animals are cute. What more can you ask for?

A story about a tsundere girl and a kuudere boy and their odd relationship. Some parts did make me laugh. They have quite a few sweet moments together. The art is slightly below average, but it's fine since it's a 4-koma type webtoon.

Mousou Telepathy

It's a pretty cute 4-koma type manga. Art is very simplistic, but it gets the point across. There are only three characters which are properly developed though, everyone else is rather two-dimensional. I enjoyed it and it made me chuckle at times. The romance between Ayako and Hayato, or lack thereof, was amusing. I think it ended at a good point and didn't unnecessarily drag things out too much. Cons were some of the jokes or references were hard to understand, as in, how point A led to point B which led to point C. There are sudden jumps in plot and swings of emotions which were a bit hard to understand. Overall, a decently good manga.
