On or Off
well, fuck. honestly, what i’m feeling is kinda bittersweet. i’m low-key sad about having to let go of these characters so soon… ughhh. i adore them both. but, since i’m tired and (sort of ) in denial about this finally being married as ‘complete’, let me just say that this was simply spectacular. really, really incredible storytelling. i love how their personalities were perfectly incorporated into the art itself! i literally could’ve read this entire story without the dialogue or inner monologues and it still would’ve made perfect sense. i recall having to take a lot of mental health breaks throughout; simply because i couldn’t cope with all the secondhand embarrassment hitting me from every single angle in every single chapter. there was always something to either crack me up like crazy or make the blood under my skin crawl. believe it or not, but either option is considered a victory by my standards! it just means i’m completely invested. and there was never a full moment! i was 100% absorbed whenever i was reading. back when i first reading this in august of 2020, i ended up rereading it (twice) before the end of that very month of that very same year. that’s how enthralled i was. it’s comedic genius, really. well, if i were to give it to you straight (unlike daehyung and yiyoung), this manhwa literally had everything i’d ever need in a story. god, it has so much character!!! and if that’s not all, our two lover boys both had unique and interesting personalities. then there’s also the incalculable amount of hysterically funny moments, lots of smoking hot sex scenes, a whole lot of wholesomeness, an overflow of creativity, excellent chemistry, nice pacing with natural progression, amazing character development… and, of course, the wonderfully playful art as well. ‘on or off’ is a clear favorite of mine among everything i’ve read thus far, and i expect it’ll remain that way for quite some time. there’s not a single doubt in my mind that i’ll end up rereading this (for a third time) at some point in the foreseeable future. i thought the ending was lovely, too, and it was indubitably very, very fitting for them. naturally, i’d be ecstatic to find an epilogue chapter or two after all this, but it’s definitely not necessary. it was a good ending and i absolutely adore this story as a whole. i’d absolutely recommend this manhwa to anyone who’s interested in comics! simply genius.
K's secret
AH-MAY-ZING. super hot, too. just an overall good read! might reread in the future.
A Spoonful of Your Love
hmmm, i don’t really know what to say about this. it’s been pretty wholesome! however, i still feels like something’s missing—hence i won’t be giving this five stars. i couldn’t tell you what that’d be, though… the ending was kinda underwhelming. i never really ‘connected’ with any of the characters throughout the story, nor did i ‘anticipate’ new updates as they arrived weekly. those are usually the most crucial aspects to an enjoyable reading experience for me personally. but oh well, lol. it was nice! i still read each and every update, each and every week, for over eight months. i guess that says something! well, it’s been an enjoyable read nonetheless! i don’t regret it, but i definitely won’t be rereading it. :)
Melting Point (Chamji)
honestly, i can’t remember much… except the fact that i loved it, lol. might reread!!!
The Office Blind Date
This was simply wonderful! Where to even start? (I’ll keep it short...) I loved getting to see these characters slowly grow into this beautiful, wholesome couple. (A true slow-burn.) Not only that, but the way they grew as individuals, too... Even the side characters!!! It was executed so nicely. It was truly a joy from start to finish. And the comedic aspects? G O L D E N. I live for clichés. Especially well-written ones. The art was spectacular, too! I’ve got nothing bad to say about it. And, well, to sum things up, I’m so glad I found this one. I’ll definitely be rereading it one day!
No Love Zone Webtoon
i love theeeem!!! ugh, i don’t really know what else to say. the smut was exquisite, their romance was super wholesome and it was just one very sweet read! well, mostly. it had its up and downs, but all i can really recall is the good stuff, lol. well, i technically finished this back in february… and i forgot to mark it as complete and write a review, so yeaaah, lol. i’m a bit wiggly on the details—especially since it’s been over three months since then. nonetheless, i know i really liked it! i’ve been reading these bonus chapters slash side story, as well; which was been pretty adorable, too—not gonna lie. but that’s just about it for now!
The Scandalous Proposal
i’m really liking it so far! love the main characters; they’re quite unique and interesting. this’ll be fun! however, i kinda wish that the art would be more… expressive. and i don’t mean as in the actual art style, but more as in a “their-facial-expressions-feel-kinda-bland” thing. hmmm. update: it’s finally complete! this was such a sweet read. i mean, there wasn’t a lot of complexity in this one, i suppose… but it was wholesome and enjoyable nonetheless. i’m just glad it wasn’t dragged out! would i reread in the future? probably not, but that’s alright. i don’t regret it!
Shot by Love
haha, i liked this one! and i do appreciate the fact that the characters acted and behaved quite unpredictably—at least compared to the expectations i had going in. it wasn’t the most exciting story, but it was sweet and funny it didn’t drag on for too long. (i didn’t expect an ending like that, either.) but aye, what a ride! it’s been fun.
