Sweet Spot (se yang)
super. freakin’. ADORABLE. even so, i wish there’d been more of a conclusive ending, but it was alright, i guess. perhaps there’ll be a few bonus episodes!!! or an epilogue, hopefully. well, considering the fact that it’s still not marked as complete yet. ;)
His Devilish New Hire
they’re so fucking adorable i could die. HELP. edit: wait… is that it? it this how it ends?! but it feels so incomplete! like, what??? i really thought there’d be AT LEAST 5-10 additional chapters. this is an open ending that just doesn’t make much sense to me. so out of the freakin’ blue!!! what’s the final conclusion? what about the aftermath of said conclusion? and what about their jobs, their coworkers, their lives, their families and everything else that we never really got cleared up…? honestly, this is disappointing. probably would’ve given this a 5-star rating if only the ending felt more… ‘final’. at this point, the best one can hope for is an epilogue, a couple of bonus chapters or even a side story if we’re lucky enough; just SOMETHING to finish everything off… ugh, this is so random. what even was that?! my god, ughhh. what a flop. there are waaaay too unanswered questions for this to be able to be considered complete. WE. NEED. CONCLUSIVE. ANSERS!!! i mean, this was never one of those unique, creative and ‘enthusiastic’ comics or anything to begin with… but at least it’s been consistently enjoyable and overall wholesome throughout, in my personal opinion. that’s the only thing that really matters to me, anyway—whether i feel that the time spent reading something is worth it by the end of it all or not. that’s how i go about ‘rating’ something, including writing reviews and such. 5 stars if i had a great time (despite what the actual story is about), and a measly 1 star if the story feels utterly ridiculous, idiotic and just… offensive. this is my general baseline. so, with that being said, i’ll give this a solid 4 stars… despite this momentary ‘lapse in judgment’, if you will. well, since i actually DID enjoy it up until this point, that is... one disappointing ending doesn’t ruin or ’erase’ all the nice aspects about a story as a whole. that just wouldn’t be fair, in all honesty. sheesh… well, it is what it is! could always be a lot worse, i guess. :)
Romance in The Old Bookstore
so adorable!!! i'm hoping there’ll be a few bonus episodes for a full closure effect. it's otherwise been quite an enjoyable read! the only reason i’m giving it four stars instead of five is because of the somewhat ambiguous plot… maybe it’s just me, but it feels as though there’s something missing. i just don’t know what it is. considering the fact that i initially gave it five stars and then changed it after some thought, i think it’s fair to say that the creator must’ve done something right. i wouldn’t have bothered reading something i wasn’t fond of in the first place, and i’m well aware of the fact that i’m a generous reviewer by nature. i’m trying to be more realistic when rating books and comics nowadays, though, lol. (hence the lower rating.) nonetheless, i’m content!!! i don’t regret reading it, and i might even come back and reread it one of these days. you never know!
Masked Woman
Aww, this was so wholesome. I appreciated the characters’ individualities and personalities. (Viola killed me, lol.) Anyway, it certainly helped in making this a truly enjoyable read! Really looking forward to reading more of these creators’ work in the future.
Starlight Scandal
such a sweet couple. i’ve read this twice (doubt i’ll reread again), so the author must’ve done something right.
A Bittersweet Couple
it’s finally finished and i feel COMPLETE!!! just adorbs!!! super funny, genuine and so goddamn wholesome, too. and i simply LOVED the dynamics between the characters and their developments throughout the story. even though this is a typical cliché contemporary plot, the art style, narration and comedic aspects made it really memorable to me. i’d recommend it! and i’d probably read it again as well.
Park Hanhoo's Manager
i’m completely OBSESSED with this. it’s dark and awkward and wholesome and i just love it. so different from everything else i’ve read! i don’t doubt i’ll be rereading this someday in the future.
The Man's Games
ughhh, how adorable!!! they were so freakin’ awkward, but so, so wholesome at the same time. <33
Aporia
ridiculously hot. fucking HELL, man... god. in any case, i absolutely LOVED being able to witness them slowly build up their trust in each other, as well as seeing their relationship steadily grow into something healthy and genuine. (well, i’m comparison to their beginning, at least. they went from semi-toxic mess to a strangely-nice mess. haha) but shieeet, i’m so happyyyy!!! just look at how far they've come! and that breath control aspect, too?! ughhh, that chapter nearly killed me. my babieeees, i love them. this has been such a joy to read. <33 or perhaps ‘thrill’ would be a much more fitting term, knowing the ‘theme’ and overall atmosphere of this manhwa… hah, i don’t even know. great storytelling nonetheless! P.S. i would’ve loved to write a more ‘worthy’ final review for this story than this lacking piece of… literary trash (???), but oh well. my mind’s blanking again, and i’m kinda struggling to conjure up something… coherent. something that’d properly sum up this whole reading experience. i’ll definitely reread it someday, though—mark my words!!! whichever way you look at it, this is a beautifully complex story with perfectly flawed, realistic characters. (with their hot, engaging BDSM sex-life being the cherry on top, heh.) definitely a favorite, no doubt! P.P.S. can’t wait for the epilogue chapter, ahhhh!!! i’m not quite ready to say goodbye to these folks just yet, goddammit.
