an excellent story, i’d say… albeit an exceptionally depraved & tragic one. definitely one of the more horrific things i’ve ever seen on this site. i feel sick to my stomach. actually, it’s probably one of the most miserable stories i’ve ever read in my whole entire life. stockholm syndrome hit us hard with this one… ohhh, man. absolutely ABHORRENT circumstances, greed and characters all around. i don’t know where to scream or cry. reading this manhwa physically HURT me. honestly, i’m a pretty tolerant person when it comes to violence in fiction, what i’d deem redeemable and whatnot… but this just makes me so, so sad. on SO many levels. there’s absolutely no winner in this. i feel awful for all parties. once again, this is one grim story. very well-written, but devastating nonetheless. i’d say that this is a fair representation of the kind of horrors that lay buried within the darkest corners of all that humanity is. aeric probably lived (aka suffered through) a life worse than hell after meeting klyff and becoming obsessed with him, i’d imagine. and klyff probably wasn’t too far behind in the misery-scale, either... this reading experience has been nothing but scarring and upsetting—although i do believe that was the whole point. i haven’t felt this despondent from a book in quite some time. magnificent work! 100% understand the overall low ratings, though... given the story’s main plot and recurring [sexual] violence. had i not become so invested so quickly, i likely would’ve dropped it from how wretched it made me feel. fuuuck. why would they do this to themselves? :( edit: aaaand, just when i thought things couldn’t get any worse, it worsened. LIKE. CRAZY. this is insane, bro ;_;

i’m enjoying this a whole lot more than i thought i would! nox is a fucking badass. overall interesting characters, too!
