haha. i initially thought that the MC was really annoying and selfish (he kinda still is in chapter 45 tbh), but things are slowly getting better and better the more i read!! i’m looking forward to his future character growth. ^^ edit: just reached chapter 75 and i’m so in love with this by now, lol. too funny. edit #2: i’m currently up-to-date and i can’t wait for more updates! HE’S SO FUCKING FUNNYYYYY!!!

A Shoulder to Cry On

Complete | Dongmul | 2000 released

i’m rereading and LMFAO, i forgot how wild this one actually is. really interesting dynamics between the main characters. aaaand, i also just realized how weirdly relatable this manhwa is. depression can really fuck someone up; it’ll shut off your empathy and sanity until you’re nothing but an empty shell. on the other hand, your numb brain is simultaneously imploring you act out, just so that you’d feel anything at all. (‘cause anything is apparently better than nothing. well, at least for most individuals, i guess.) fucking hell, if chronic numbness isn’t the story of my life. either way, i’m really, really liking this! now i know why i gave it a five star rating back in february earlier this year, lol. unique characters and emotional complexity wins!

SSS-Class Suicide Hunter

Ongoing | Shin Noah , 신노아, Neida , 네이다,Bill K | 2000 released

this is bound to be great, i just know it. edit: holy SHIT, this guy is dedicated!! tenacious bastard, lol. edit #2: THIS SHIT IS TOO FUCKING FUNNY, AHAHAHAHAH!! edit #3: this is a masterpiece. man, what a fucking king. boss bitch energy level 3000

Revenge Wedding

Ongoing | Saryong | 2019 released

it’s funnier than i thought it’d be! love the mains’ dynamic, too. i’m excited for this one! edit: i’m in love with this. <3 i’m just hoping there’ll be an epilogue and some bonus episodes to finish everything off. i’m kinda sad it’s over, to be honest. i feel like they could’ve kept going for a good while still, but it is what it is. i’m not giving up hope until i see that it’s marked ‘complete’!!! i don’t particularly like rushed endings with lots of unanswered questions and lacking closure.

Miss Not-So Sidekick

Ongoing | Ellianyang,Yumyum | 2000 released

This. Is. Pure. Comedy. GOLD!!! It just doesn’t get much better than this—comedically speaking. It doesn’t. I legit feel like I wheezed my way through it. Fucking hysterical, man!!! I’m so glad I chose to read it in the end. For whatever reason, I was skeptical at first. (Perhaps because of the cover, I don’t know…?) Initially, I wasn’t particularly attracted to the art style from what little I could gather before reading, but it had great reviews, so I decided to give it a go despite that. Once again, I’m so happy I did! It was so wild, y’all. In the best way possible. And the initial skepticism for the art style quickly melted away—just within a few chapters. It’s the biggest non-cliché cliché I’ve ever read. Seriously. It wasn’t what I was expecting AT. ALL. Loved the dynamics between the characters! Such an interesting bunch, truly fascinating. I won’t say too much (because I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone this time), but maaaan, they cracked me up so hard. All three of the ‘original’ love interests were all so much fun! Of course I have my favorite out of the trio, but I’m not gonna tell youuuu. ;) Latte is probably one of my all-time favorite protagonists. She’s funnier than most comedians I know, love and enjoy. Lovable, honest, creative, considerate, humorous, optimistic… Very nosy and wannabe-annoying, though—which is normally character traits I wouldn’t appreciate in a main character, but homegirl killed it!!! I couldn’t picture her any differently. She was perfect. Nonetheless, every character was unique and they all had their own respective air of ‘charisma’, so to speak; even the so-called villains and such. There wasn’t ever a dull moment for me. It was so refreshing! Probably among the most unexpected isekai comics I’ve read thus far—which says a lot, considering I mostly read isekai comics. Like, the number’s in the hundreds or whatever by now. I don’t even know anymore. I just know that this is a new favorite of mine! What a classic, god. I’ll definitely be rereading it in the future. Probably sometime soon. 10/10, would ABSOLUTELY recommend!!! Looking forward to the side stories, too. I hope the authors have other stories for me to check out as well! I’ll be ecstatic if that’s the case. Edit: I just felt the need to add that I’ve read this manhwa at least three times at this point, lol. Let me ALSO add that I first read this in september of 2021, and I’m editing THIS particular part in june of 2023. Just about to reread it again, ahahahaha!! No regrets!!!

Light & Shadow

Complete | Ryu hyang,Hee won | 2000 released

this manhwa will, most likely, forever be a favorite of mine. <3 i think i’ve read it… thrice, maybe? doubt that’ll be the end of it. sheesh.

Walk on Water

Complete | Jaxx,Jang Mokdan | 2000 released

god, this is messed up. i still love it, though, lol! i’m reading it for the third time right now and i have absolutely no regrets. surprisingly enough, i love both the storytelling and its pacing. the characters stand out to me… it’s hard to figure them out. (i always do appreciate some emotional complexity, heh.) it’s so good. and the smut is RIDICULOUSLY hot, too… really, i can’t complain! jaxx is a great storyteller in my book. “under the green light” is truly spectacular as well! i’d recommend you all to check that one out if you haven’t already. there’s some beautiful, steamy masterpieces awaiting you. ;)

At the End of the Road

Complete | Haribo | 2016 released

This being the very first shounen ai comic I read, I had little to no idea what to expect. Now I think it’s fairly easy for me to admit my obsession with this story, lol. It opened up a whole new world for me! At this point in time, I’ve read “At the End of the Road” three times. In less than three weeks, no less... Seriously. #noregretstho Despite this manhwa having received a couple of negative reviews on here—albeit most of them ARE positive, naturally—I still consider it to be one of my absolute favorites. This has become my go-to read whenever I feel... nostalgic, kind of?? Or whenever I hear a song I’ve previously associated it with, I think about Woojin and Taemin and start smiling like some kind of a crazy motherfucker, lol. Can’t help it. I love these two. Either way, I’m really excited to see what Haribo’s planning regarding (possible) future stories! I’d probably read anything of his at this point. Yuuuup. (edit: i’ve been following ‘mad dog’ since its initial release back in june of 2021, and dude, it’s fucking INCREDIBLE. so fucking great, man… this guy knows what he’s doing. i just adore his work!!! season one was wrapped up nicely back in early february of 2022, so now i’m simply awaiting the release of season two! enthusiastically awaiting, that is. heh. it’s going to be epic, i already know it.) - — - — - — - — - Soooo, I’m just about to read this manhwa again… for the sixth time. Just letting y’all know, lol. #march2022 #stillobsessed #noregrets2.0

Second life of a Gangster

Ongoing | Sayeol, Yerang | 2019 released

wow. what an incredible redemption story. he’s worked SO. FUCKING. HARD. to do well and to be a better person. oh joong seok has grown so much since we first started out… i’m so freakin’ proud of his accomplishments, and it’s been amazing seeing this slow and gradual progress of his—genuinely. (it truly has been a process, lol.) this man clearly thought so lowly of himself to the point where he couldn’t distinguish his strengths and capabilities from his flaws. in his eyes, he was just plain trash; undeserving of anything even remotely close to atonement or forgiveness. but man, look at how far he’s come!!! i mean, i absolutely DID see his point—he was human scum—but he’s simply not the same person he once was anymore. that much is clear as day! i’m so, so happy that he’s finally come to realize that for himself. what impressed me the most is the fact that he remained the very person deep within his core. you can clearly tell that ‘high school’ oh joong seok is still ‘post-gangster’ oh joong seok, only matured. i suspect that’s what made his achievements so believable to me. ugh, dude!!! all these efforts he’s made to improve himself!!! i just can’t stop myself from hyping over it. this is what true character development is. it’s inspiring, to be honest. and i love him. LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM. i wish i had a friend like him. and this redemption arc of his has been top-fucking-notch in regards to quality and believability. for what it’s worth, i’ve been SO. IMMERSED. in this manhwa ever since i first started reading it back in november. i’ve rarely come across such an incredibly flawed character with this much positive (both achievable and believable) character development. in the beginning, i seriously thought he’d be irredeemable. i really did. he was such a dick! i thought he’d remain a villain ‘til the very end—albeit a villain with a purpose and a slightly improved moral compass, at best. but he’s become a genuinely good person, and that mere fact is moving in itself! obviously, i should’ve given him the benefit of the doubt. i honestly can’t believe it still, lol. the fact that made perfect sense, too!!! that’s the most shocking part of it all to me. i adore, adore, ADORE him. it’s been such a journey. i’ll definitely reread this one of these days. i even stated tearing up at the end! and just like i said earlier, i was unexpectedly moved by his story. the side characters, antagonists and their personal growths have been incredible, too. man, i’m beat. i can’t wait to reread this, seriously. <33

Poison Dragon: The Legend of an Asura

Ongoing | 일 연재,독점 | 2000 released

man, this is good… i’m so, soooo proud of jagang. our boy deserves justice!! WE MUST UNITE AND PROTECT HIM AT ALL COSTS!!! seriously though, it don’t think i’ve ever come across an MC this resolute. it’s crazy admirable, goddamn. either way, things keep getting more and more interesting the further in i get. and i have no idea what to expect from all these characters, either! i’d bet my left pinkie finger it’ll either be something ridiculously epic or thoroughly bone-chilling. i’d say it’s a solid 50/50 chance. mang ryo is ACTUAL filth, though… and i’m borderline obsessed with this paradoxical notion, lololol. talk about a master of deception!i don’t know whether i should laugh or cry, admire or recoil. he’s so fucking scary. the joker of ancient china. i’m not even exaggerating.
