You're not explaining the oath, so its confusing for someone who didn't read the novel. Xiao Ling was "dating" Li Lei(she had dated him officially but after Li Lei's family tried to kill her they broke up, but kept seeing each other) when she went to film a commercial that included paragliding, but wind suddenly rises and she suffers an accident so li lei goes to her rescue(since he's an expert paraglider) and saves her from death but both get separated because of the wind and fall on different locations, Xia ling hears on the radio(that she cannot reach) that they know where she fell but not where Li Lei fall so she gets worried he'll die before they find him, so she takes a the ad's company cellphone and dials the only number she knows, Pei a personal line, a number only Xia Ling knew. Pei answers but ask her why she knew this number, she says Chu Chen told her but please to save Li Lei, Pei teoos her that he doesn't believe her and why would he save Li, so sje tells her the truth, that she's in fact Xia Ling and provenitnto him with some personal stuff from their past. He was quite hasty in love and impatient, but his love for the MC has taught him to treasure her more and more (till the point that he just became those doting husband to the MC lol) and the rape drama was only at the beginning of their relationship cause ohhhh boi this novel is like 1000+ chapters long and it takes a long way for them to truly understand each other In short (or not so short) She will face many more drama From being denied from Li Lei family To being recaptured by Ziheng because She was forced to leave Li Lei to save his life and Ziheng forced her to make an Oath to never leave him again (at this point she also confessed about her true identity to Ziheng) Ziheng try to kill hers and Li Lei baby during her captive time ( thankfully the baby still alive) However she did not get to reunite with her baby till 5 years later Continue the drama between her and Li Lei’s family ( because they are such assholes) for 600 chapters + Another 2 years being apart from Li Lei due fo a misunderstanding that Li lei has a child with his female servant ( and this bitch is hard to eliminate as fuck) A little more up and down with Ziheng And till finally they can officially get marry with 3 kids (2 boys 1 girls, one of them is adopted) After chapter 1000+ is some side stories about Ziheng’a servant, Ziheng and Mc’s past life , Mc’s 3rd child ( girl ) story A side note that this novel has alot of mythological elements. There is spell casting, alien ( this is emphasize more on the mc’s child side story) , rebirth lol , oath, fate and destiny. These have a huge impact on the plot. The MC herself is not a normal person, she is a Phoenix child who had been rebirth once so it makes her even more special than previous Phoenix child in her family. The MC real family is not a normal family as well they are a powerful mythical family that reside in a mountain and has major influence in the country —————- My thought after reading the novel is that some part could’ve gone better if the MC just stop hiding stuff from Li Lei (many stuffs and not just her own identity) since it puts him through hell for her... Also my translation for some terms may be off cause I did not read the novel in English
