The plot is one of those "miracle" plots that happen only in fiction. I liked it. Really enjoyed the way this story portrayed family trauma, bullying, suicide, and death. The romance felt contrived to me, but I did enjoy many moments of their friendship and their falling in love. It was economically done, so it wasn't very long, which I appreciated. I think it did well in terms of balancing depth and length.

Love these actually-requited unrequited love plots. Pacing is nonsense in vol 1 but gets REALLY GOOD for a bit in vol 2. Hope there's more coming up! Incredibly self-indulgent story that hits all the typical tropes. Perfect for comfort reading.
