ok i have a lot to say abt this but idk if imma put it all here. i feel so much emotion from this manhwa its insane. i really do feel the emotions of each character and they all feel so fleshed out and really human. they each have their unique characteristics that make them human and even if u can't relate, you feel their emotions even without talking and only looks and the art. the author did an amazing job with everything and the art is amazing, i rly wanna go support them with whatever platform they're on. now lets talk abt the little stuff. i rly love jo's character with how he is such an innocent bean but also at the same time not. like he's a full grown male who doesn't get involved with gangs or anything and is considered a normal civilian but is also strong physically and mentally. especially when he was talking to ian after the slept together abt his feelings and before they slept together too. like he's a human and mulls over his feelings but also isn't afraid to talk abt them and can clearly tell that to ian and wanting to figure out their relationship together. and also with how he was before they slept together rly resonated with me. specifically the look in his eyes bc i could so clearly see his honest feelings for ian and how he overcame the internal conflict he had abt his feelings. AHHH IDK I LOVE HIM. he's also just so pretty and also a free spirit that doesn't stay in one place bc he likes traveling and photography. like mans knows what he wants and goes after it. NEXT IS IAN. ooo this man is so pretty but i also love his character. the more chapters that go by the more i can understand his character but also don't understand him. idk if that makes sense. more reasons behind his actions make sense but it also add new issues and confusions. this poor boy had such a sad past and had no one else to rely on and had to go into such a shady business to survive. i think that's the biggest difference between ian and tj. ian wouldn't be in a gang if he didn't have to be but tj would, bc that's just what he's good at and meant to do. seeing how he came into the gang when he was younger i can rly understand his intentions of why he wanted to leave and all his trauma leading up to it. this wasn't something chose but something he did at the time to survive. he truly did love tj but hates the fact that tj is essentially tied to the gang. which is why i think even if he loves tj, he'll leave. you can see how truly messed up the gang made him and how he couldn't even feel emotions when someone died. i think he knew that a part of himself became too messed up and bc he knew that wasn't normal he couldn't take it anymore. i think in that aspect, jo and ian are really good for each other. so far idk how good ian is for jo but jo is good for ian. it's almost the stupid saving trope but not necessarily. bc ian was never able to live a normal life, he's starting to experience those random but normal things with jo. like night gazing dates, getting drinks, etc. but he doesn't want to stay with him bc of many reasons but he truly thinks he's an awful person for all the things he's done in his life and can't even imagine that pure ian would have to be associated with him. and in a way i think that's ian's way of saving jo, bc he clearly has feelings of attraction and longing for him, but doesn't think he or jo deserves to be with the other. anyway its hard to explain all my thought processes but i truly think that he just needs and hug and someone to tell him that he isn't a bad person, he just did what he needed to do to survive. NOW ON TO TJ. well i have very much mixed emotions towards him. in the beginning i was really confused bc nothing was explained abt his relationship with ian but as more things unfold it's sadly following what i expected to be the case with them/the trope i thought it'd be. i rly don't think he's a bad person but i think he's probably extremely possessive and can't imagine that the person he loves and that's been with him for like 19 or whatever years would leave him. and i think that's whats gonna make him go off the rails and make him into the 'villain' of this story. though i do hope that that's not whats gonna happen. i rly do see how much he loves ian bc of all his actions and how well he treats him but he also knows that even tho he loves him, if he were to leave him, he'll do everything in his power to make him stay. i think this is his downfall bc even he knows how much harm he's causing ian bc he won't let him leave his side. in the hospital scene it's so sad to see the fact that ian knew it was tj's fault and he set him up but didn't let him speak abt it bc he didn't want to truly believe that the person before him may be his family/love/bestfriend but also the person that hurts him the most. tj could see that ian was so happy riding bikes and that that passion would take him away from him, so he purposefully injured ian in a way that looked like an accident so he'll stay by him. idk what else to say but that this manhwa is so sad and painful for me to read but also so beautiful and raw. i want to keep reading but idk if i will bc it's hard lmao. im a wuss. OH ALSO the scene where jo is explaining abt orion and athena or whatever god and how he got killed bc the other god was jealous, im so scared that it's foreshadowing whats going to happen in the story. no bc I KNOW its foreshadowing and it would honestly fit the story so well and be a perfect info loop but i DON'T WANT TO SEE THEM HURT AHHHHH. anyway bye

Hajime no Koi (NISHIMOTO Rou)

Complete | NISHIMOTO Rou | 2022 released

SUCH A SLAY. omg i love pure/not pure stories like this yk. like the whole plot with the mcs is actually pure but there's parts like yakuza and shitty ex-lovers or bad pasts which make it 'realistic' in a sense.
