Caste Heaven
Bullying, non-con and dub-con, ahoy! It's unique in that all of stems from a social-ranking game which creates a chaotic microcosm that quickly develops into something disturbing akin to the Stanford Prison Experiment. Very twisted.

From a sadist standpoint, I must say the initial shock when Totori finds out he can be fucked is priceless. Asahina's verbal tormenting is perfect, i.e. "You have no idea what kind of face you're making right now, do you? A really...stupid one." He's so casual it gives me shivers. Then, we have the added bonus of Fushimi's voyeurism and a plethora of additional kinks thrown in to the story. Azusa and Usagi's story has a few cute elements but the lack of true smut is saddening, and it ultimately falls short. Overall, 5/5 Stars for the first story which has me hooked.
Tourou No Ori
Loving this! Both storylines are great and I love the way they interconnect. The drama is sincere and the emotional repercussions of the past are expressed in very realistic ways. It's hard not feel sympathy for each character-- well, except maybe the father that caused all of the tension in the first place. 5/5 Stars
Samenai Yume
Twisted, dark perfection.
Sora o Daite Oyasumi
A very sad tale, indeed. I like where it's going, but it's really quite tragic already and I don't know how much my heart can take. 5/5 Stars for good, but sad, storytelling that holds my interest.

How unfortunate it was that I had merely glanced at the first few pages and decided to go back to my more preferred artistic style to read several months ago. I'm glad I went back to read this. The story is beautiful, dark, and captivating. It's easy to feel transported to a different world, one with poignant poetry and flowing, inky figures which contrasts the colorful cast of characters all taking place in a bizarre circus setting. I cannot recommend this enough, both for the strangely beautiful imagery and the incredibly deep story: 5/5 Stars.
